Another adorable maternity dress from Nuuly. I didn't even care about all that white...it had LEMONS on it. Put pretty much any fruit or veg on a dress & I'm all over it. The fit on this was loose & I could have gone down a size, but it was just so cute & comfortable & meant to be free flowing. The fabric felt very lux & was light & airy without being too flimsy. I haven't worn these footless tights forever...they are such a marvelous olive color.
I don't know why I felt this dress needed more than 1 necklace...it just did.
My make-up with this outfit included...Urban Decay eyeliner & eyeshadow in Mildew, Violet Voss Sparkling Cherry Limeade eyeshadow palette, Bite Beauty lipliner in 072, NYX lipstick in 507, Dozen Carnations lipstick by MAC, & Aim To Misbehave nail polish from Essie.
I first wore this dress to spend an evening at Kate & Jason's...having dinner & taking part in a Zoom rosé tasting that Kate had picked up all the bottles for from Square Wine.
Yummmm...Miko Poke...first time since 2019. They offer mixed greens to replace the rice, so it was perfect. And my Ahi Tuna & raspberries were also rosé. Kate enjoying opening up the bubbles.
This champagne was my favorite bottle of the night...no surprise since bubbles are my thing. David & I picked up this cheese at the west side farmers' market & it was delightful! It was just for him since I'm not a fan of sheep milk cheese...but this one changed my mind.
More rosé...
Awwww...Kate & Jason! How does Kate always manage to look cute in photos?! I need at least 50 so I can find one where I'm not making a ridiculous face. Kate has this fun gadget...a Coravine...it sticks a needle into the cork so you don't have to take the cork out & it stays fresh (I'm sure I've gotten this wrong & Kate will correct me).
Later that night...listening to some 80s new wave out of Chicago. West side market with the girlie. Shiny orange Fluevogs! 2/$29 bras from Savage Fenty. I guessed on my size & was spot on. I really like that the hardware on these is all copper colored...so much nicer than silver.
New Wave on a Saturday night. Nina Hagen! My style icons in high school were Nina Hagen, Siouxsie Sioux, & Cyndi Lauper. Elkhorn Antique Flea Market...fabulous finds right in the door (7 am! Elkhorn days involve getting up super early).
These fireplace doors did not come home with us, but the fleur de lis pattern always makes me think of Shane. Check out this stylish woman in all pink. Elkhorn is not really a fun people watching place...but there is always at least one chick who puts some effort in (it's not me). I LOVED these lion heads that were once part of a building, but they stayed there. We found this fabulous lion head copper trash can for our front porch...David keeps a bin out there so he can throw junk mail away immediately...but this is prettier.
More architectural elements that stayed there...but so stunning! The thing I am most sad about not buying is this record...why would I stop to take a photo & not just take it with me?! David picking out wooden crates for storage in his home office.
There was this pair of cherub lamps that quite honestly caught my eye because, wow, they are really something & I immediately made fun of them...then I fell in love. They will look fantastic in our wreck room (I know it's rec, but I just like this other spelling/meaning more). A lovely Gibson girl playing pool that I would have totally had to have if we had a pool table. We spent quite a while at this booth going through lamp & drawer hardware...so much fun to dig & get dirty.
David spied this chair as we were leaving & we figured out a way he could bring both it & me back to the truck in one trip. I got a lot of sympathetic looks, especially since I was in a wheelchair. This car caught my eye as we were driving home...flames! We especially liked how they used the black base color as flames in front...we might steal that idea for our black car we want flames on.
Every once in a while we see one of these book presses at the flea market that we both admire, but this was finally *the* one...ornate dolphins, from the mid-1800s. I can never resist tassels...& I didn't even see these, David did & said...don't you need those?! Perfect husband. The wooden boxes David settled on. A few 70s colored bracelets for my collection.
The hardware we picked out...there is SO much...but we'll eventually find uses for it all. More outdoor chairs...which you know will get painted bright colors. This brings our outdoor seating to 13. Probably enough. Another beautiful outdoor table...with a grape theme. And Twitch tunes at night.
