Christmas

Dress: Fit & Flare Dress in Steel Velvet by Amanda Uprichard (size 4x) via Gwynnie Bee (use my link to get your first month free & help me earn GB credit)
Jacket: Midnight Velvet, thrifted
Boots: Steve Madden
Earring: Babil & Bijou, former etsy shop
Necklace: Wendy Baker
Bracelets: Vintage
Photography: Super Boo & Me
Stats: 5'7" 55-50-64
Christmas velvet fit & flare...lovely dress if you like grey. This was a good weight...warm & cozy & petable...with the right amount of flare & length. I like to use GB to step outside my comfort zone because you never know what you might discover. I discovered grey is still not my color, but it was fun to wear once.
David & I quickly snapped these photos between lunch & going over to Angie & Toby's house. It was 7°, but felt like -9° & the wind was 14mph.
We happened upon these fun Christmas trees outside a shop.
My make-up with this outfit included...NYX Faux Blacks eyeliner in Oxblood; Golden Nugget, Sin City, & #selfie eyeshadow by Too Faced; Kat von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Santa Sangre; & Ruby Pumps nail polish from China Glaze.
Lunch at Indian buffet...
Movie (The Red Shoes) & doggie cuddling at Angie & Toby's...
Things that arrived by post...a lovely vintage acorn necklace from The Girls of GB Secret Santa, some We Love Colors new products to test, a lovely earring from etXarte, & a gorgeous sequin duster from Courtney Noelle that I treated myself to for NYE.

I wore this outfit to work & to a surprise garage sale in the neighborhood. I hated this top like poison. I thought the pattern was fabulous, however, the heavy fabric felt like a painting tarp & the fit was as shapeless as a hospital gown. The pattern & delightful color combination encouraged me to give it a one time wear.
This particular day turned gusty & stormy just as we were leaving work...so we escaped getting wet while we took photos under this covered entrance of a building on UW campus...it did not always protect us from the wind though...
There is a woman in our neighborhood that does an antique garage sale a few times a month & she had her sign out on this day...I found these two beauties to bring home...
Gorgeous colors...
My make-up this day included...Purple Tang eyeliner by Stila, Urban Decay eyeshadows in Thrash & Savage from the Electric palette, Aria liquid lipstick from Stila, & Do The Twist by Colors by Llarowe on my nails.

The Island

I wore this outfit to farmers' market with Kate & MadCity Bazaar one day & on another to work & attend the first play of the season at APT with Super Boo. I know this looked like a robe to many people, but I don't care...it's gorgeous. The colors are brilliant! Had it not been so pricy, I would have purchased it...but perhaps it will end up in the shop since it's gotten such bad reviews. My only negative comment is, holy buckets...shortness! Otherwise, I loved the fit, fabric, vibrant colors, & kimono sleeves. I may have to closet this again to wear with pink teggings.
After market a few weeks ago, I stopped to check out MadCity Bazaar, a pop-up flea market that happens every other weekend. I'm a total sucker for upcycling & for pretty things to decorate the outside world. Naturally Glassy had some gorgeous stuff, the 2 pieces on the right are hanging out with my herbs & flowers. The teacup was supposed to come with birdseed...but she must have forgotten to stick it in my bag.
What are these splendid orange flowers?! Butterfly Weed? I was so intent on taking a photo, I didn't notice there was a bee in the picture. I am guessing they are native Wisconsin wildflowers as these were all over on our walk up to American Players Theatre. Our first play of the season was The Island.
This was my first time wearing this delightful floral earring & I loved how it went with the dress...
My make-up with this dress included...Urban Decay eyeliner in LSD & several different UD eyeshadows...I would tell you more, but I've forgotten. The eyeliner was a gift with a purchase I made at UD...I would have never chosen it myself, but I LOVE it! Sparkly!

Pizza @ Cress Spring Bakery

Dress: Cricket Maxi Dress by A by Amanda Uprichard (size 5x) via Gwynnie Bee (use my link to get your first month free & help me earn GB credit)

I wore this outfit to work & to travel to Blue Mounds with Kate. The colors & pattern in this maxi were intensely stunning & I felt beautiful in it. My only issue with this dress was that, not being familiar with the brand, I got a size larger than I needed...so it was huge on me. I was mostly able to fix that by pulling the skirt up to create a blouson top. I wore teggings underneath so I didn't have to worry about flashing anyone with the tulip hem. Gorgeous summer dress!
Our favorite bakery at Saturday market is Cress Springs, we love their bread & pastries...so when we heard they were making pizza on their farm on Wednesday evenings...we had to go. It was the most lovely scenic hilly winding drive...which seemed to be a favorite for bicyclists.
And we were greeted by baby piggies!!! Look at that adorable spotted one! I wanted to cuddle with him, but they seemed scared when I came near their pen to take pictures & ran to mom for safety. So precious!
There were so many delicious pizzas to chose from, we couldn't decide...so we got 3 & took home the leftovers. My favorite was the Asparagus Alfredo with salmon. We also got Real Fungi & Big Cheese. We will definitely be back.
We were entertained by the Back Seat Serenaders playing American roots music...I love string instruments & later they brought out a saw. Also, the start of the girlie's new tattoo...her ginger dragon.
Cute girlie is cute.
I'm cute too. Be neither of us are as cute as baby piggies.
My make-up that day included several shadows from Urban Decay's Electric palette, Voodoo liner, & Head in the Clouds lipstick by MAC.
