A Merry Evening with Dan & Megan Rodriguez // Tattoo Color

Dress: Harvest Midi Dress by Bl-nk (size L) via Nuuly
Cardigan: Langenls, thrifted
Shoes:
All Jewelry: Vintage
Photography: Super Boo & Me
Stats: 5'7" 38-32-45
I adored this dress...with all its orange & patterns...including my favorite, paisley. It may have been better suited for an autumn day rather than this snowy weather...but it made me happy & there is hardly a dress that can't be made winter appropriate with a cardigan. All cotton, pockets, runs a size big.
This cardigan was one of the many I'd picked up at the Sun Prairie Vinny's...no buttons though, so I held it together with a pin we picked up at the Elkhorn Flea.
Covered in snow...
Close up of my make-up...
My make-up with this outfit included...Urban Decay eyeliner & eyeshadow in Mildew, Huda Beauty Coral Obsessions eyeshadow palette, Pumpkin lipliner from NYX, Heat lipstick by UD, & China Glaze nail polish in Argo.
I first wore this dress to go to UW Hospital & finally have my drains taken out...I got in the truck & shouted FREEEEEDOM. A bit of grocery shopping at Metcalfe's...where organic cauliflower is only $10...1/2 the price of the co-op. Walkee Paws for the doggies. Kate sent me a video, I showed it to David...& then this happened.
Poor tortured doggies...they just don't like it. More recipes from Andy Baraghani.
At The Bur Oak to see Dan Rodriguez, with his wife, Megan. No vinyl...sadness. While I was waiting, I watched Davina & the Vagabonds online show where they announced their Indiegogo campaign for their next album. For $10,000 (not including travel, accommodations, or lighting/sound) they will play a private show for you. Oh, how I wish I could afford that. It's just a lot. Kate got a steal with Them Coulee Boys. I'd happily pay ~$5,000 every other year for a band to come play for us on Lake Superior. That show was the best.
Megan & Dan...the majority of this show was them singing holiday songs, Dan's as well as classics. He also played some of his non-Christmas tunes. It was lovely. I guess they've been doing small Christmas tours for several years & Dan's brother usually comes along & plays piano...but he got a better offer (Dan asked, how much are they paying you? Yeah, you should go.).
Video visit with Kate!
Sunflower coloring time with Bear...we also chatted about the next tattoo they will be inking on me...a mermaid/siren on the back of my right calf...after that, that leg (below the knee) will be done! I want a scattering of tiny tattoos in places with scars, but those should be quick freehand pieces (things like leopard spots & fleur-de-lys).
Oh, my goodness! Soooo pretty...they were going to do all the flowers traditional yellow, but I wanted it mixed up. Bear does amazing work & they are such a marvelous person...warm & easy to talk to.

The Return of Wasted: Rosé

Dress: Pom Pom Tie Maxi Dress by Bl-nk via Nuuly (use my link & we both get $10 off)
Teggings: Re/Dress (RIP)
Sandals: Array, thrifted
Earring & Bracelet: Wendy Baker
Necklace: Colleen Toland
Photography: Super Boo & Me
Stats: 5'7" 47-45-65
I was hesitant to closet this dress because of the tie-dye bit up top, but it was by a brand I liked & wanted more of, Bl-nk. I loved it! This dress was super sheer, but came with a solid black mini dress length slip (came to just above the side slits), but I knew it would ride up on me so I chose to wear black teggings as well. I adore a flower print on a black background & the waist tied with 2 pom poms (all the pom poms please!) on each side & 2 on the neckline. The fit was great, as was the length (but their choice to call it a maxi?)...my only issue was the pom poms all wanted to end up tangled up in one big ball...but they were well behaved when the dress was on.
Every time I wear these shoes, I consider throwing them out...they aren't in bad shape, just cheap...but they are the only pink shoes I have in a bit lighter color...I need to find a replacement.
Third outfit in a row wearing the same pink nail polish AND lipstick. It's a pink summer. This is my first time wearing this Colleen Toland necklace that was a gift from David.
My make-up with this outfit included...Urban Decay eyeliner in Mildew; UD eyeshadow in Chains; Glam Rapids, To, & Don't Know Her eyeshadow by Morphe x Jeffree Star; Big Bang lipliner & lipstick; & OPI nail polish in Can't Hear Myself Pink!
While Kate & Jason were on vacation...we plant-sat their plants in our front yard. DJs on Twitch. West side farmers' market with David, since Kate was out of town. I can't go places alone anymore since I need to be pushed in a wheelchair if there is too much walking.
Trying to capture the sparkles in my pink polish. We saw this cool Corvette while getting gas at Costco...I've become more aware of cars this year since falling in love with Challengers. Curried deviled eggs that I made for wine tasting. Making hard boiled eggs in the Instant Pot is life changing. Welcome back to Wasted: Rosé.
It was a lovely afternoon to sit around outside with lovely people. I missed this group during quarantine. It was fun to be out at a social gathering & I will never take this for granted again. We brought a delicious nearly orange sparkling rosé from Kate's cellar in our basement.
Sipping Super Boo & Lindsay taking notes. A wall I spied on our drive home...we stopped to check it out because we are planning to build a wall in front of our porch & we haven't liked any of the interlocking block options...natural stone looks so much nicer. Songs via DJs on Twitch.

Leopard Butterfly

Dress: Verona Highlight Maxi Dress by Bl-nk (size 3x) via Nuuly (use my link to get $20 off your 1st month)
Teggings: Re/Dress, RIP
Shoes: Fly London via eBay
Earring: Kerala Rose
Necklace: Wendy Baker
Bracelets: Vintage
Photography: Super Boo & Me
Stats: 5'7" 50-47-68
This was the dress that got me to join Nuuly...I mean...how ME is this gorgeous leopard gown?! In person...it's not as spectacular as I was hoping for...it's more of a cool beige that doesn't look fabulous with my skin tone. However, I still adore all the bright splashes of color amongst the leopard spots & I enjoyed wearing it...I felt like a colorful leopard butterfly. The fit would have been good, but my right upper arm is 4 inches larger than my other arm, so it was incredibly tight, which threw off the way the dress lay up top. The length & flow of the dress were lovely. Out of the 6 dresses I got in my first box, this is the only one with fit issues. I'm going to stick with Nuuly, at least for the summer. After that, they may run out of options for me in my size...we'll see.

Gotta pump up the orange & show off my pedicure.
I did splotches of various colors of eyeshadow to mimic the dress. If there were places to go, I may have also tried to draw some leopard prints above my eyeliner wings.
My make-up with this outfit included...Urban Decay eyeliner in Perversion, Kat von D Tattoo Liner in Trooper, Sparkling Cherry Limeade eyeshadow palette by Violet Voss, Orange County lip liner & lipstick from NYX, MAC lipstick in Dozen Carnations, & OPI nail polish in Santa Monica Beach Peach.
Scrolling though Instagram & The Lowest Pair just happened to be doing a little live practice...they have actual in person shows booked...I hope I can see live music soon. DJs on Twitch, I will miss that.
Which dress for my birthday? More music via DJs on Twitch.
I've got a Val on my lap! I've missed her. The return of Thursday dinners at Angie's...Freddie is still unsure of the strangers in his house. David made Walleye with asparagus & we drank a bottle of slightly too sweet wine.
DJ Baby Berlin, Synthetic Thursdays. And my preorder limited edition tights from Snag...a straggler showed up the next day...but new colors of tights...just in time for the end of tight season.
