Skirt: Enwrapture Vintage Silk Sari

Socks: Sock Dreams

Shoes: Born

Necklace & Earring: Babil & Bijou

I wore this outfit to a short work meeting just so I could wear it out of the house briefly before mailing the top back to Gwynnie Bee. The color is GORGEOUS, but the fit & cut of this top was a bit weird. The front drapes so as to make a pocket in my cleavage. Not flattering.

I am in love with this deep salmon dress with black polka dots from Igigi. I've gotten it several times now from Gwynnie Bee & I nearly bought it when I had it this last time, but didn't. It's on sale on the Igigi site & they are currently having a 40% off the sale price sale...so I finally got it! This dress will soon be mine.
A little over 3 years ago, I bought these Fluevogs off of ebay for a steal...then our new (at the time) dog Olive gnawed on them. They are the one & only shoe she ever chewed. Because of this, they've lived in a bag on my porch & have never been worn...but I dug them out & decided to wear them to work to see if I liked them enough to take them to a cobbler to get repaired. They were cute & comfortable...so as long as they're at it...I'm hoping they can get rid of that white stitching too.

Olive could chew all of my shoes & I still could never be mad at her....sooooooo adorable....

Kate's Day Dress: Ruched Geometric Dress from Taylor Dresses via Gwynnie Bee

Kate's Night Dress: Adele Dress in Mod Dots from Cherry Velvet via Gwynnie Bee

This is my tough face above...or at least it's the face I made when Kate told me to look mean to match my stompy boots. Are you scared?
I wore this outfit a week ago Sunday to go to a crafty fair with the girlie, & later that night to see a band I like. I just had this dress from Gwynnie Bee a week and a half before...but it came to me again in a size up & I styled it differently. I felt less like Minnie Mouse with the leopard cardigan and boots. I really like this dress, I just wish the polka dots were black instead of white.
The girlie looked adorable in her day dress, with the exception of a HUGE gold (unnecessary) zipper running down the back.
At the crafty fair, Kate found some lovely colorful earrings, a calendar, & Sandalwood Vanilla Honey Lotion from the same friendly woman I bought this Noel Honey Soap (orange, cinnamon, pine) from. She makes her products using the honey of the bees she raises...how fabulous is that?! She told us she has a kiosk outside of Macy's until Christmas, so I'd like to find my way there to get some lotion to match this deliciously yummy soap. She also has a website, Cackle Bee. Kate wore her lotion to the concert & she smelled marvelous all night, so the scent really lingers.
This is one of two earrings I have with an 'M' on it. So very Laverne (from the 70s sitcom Laverne & Shirley). I don't wear either of them very often even though they're fun...I'll have to remedy that!
Kate decided she'd go to the concert with me so she'd have some place to wear this dress. She thought it wasn't appropriate to wear to work because of the high slit in back...apparently there is no such thing as too much cleavage in the workplace *smile*.
I picked Kate up at 6 for the 7pm show because I was concerned about getting a table. Apparently Sundays are slow at High Noon. We were the first non-employees there...so we wandered around trying to find somewhere bright enough to take pictures...
Then we spent some time in the bathroom being silly.
And here is the best part of this dress...also note, Kate accessorizing! She's wearing her new earrings from the craft fair, a cute little necklace from etsy that says "evil", and a typewriter bracelet that she made that says...I can't remember...she'll have to say in the comments.
Barbez had 2 opening bands...the first (Page Campbell from Hope For Agoldensummer) was wonderful...the second...gave me time to post some of the pictures we took on fb & Instagram.

Takes My Breath Away...

It's not very often that I see an outfit that takes my breath away, let alone one that may be possible for ME (a fat chick) to wear. I found this stunning outfit via Affatshionista (go to her blog to read more) while perusing fatshion blogs. The woman pictured is Nicole Maron & her dress was designed for her by Kelly Williams. I am in love. If I ever get married, I'm going to beg Kelly to design me a dress based on this one...in shades of red & burgundy. I already have the shoes...a pair of delicious Fluevogs gifted to me by my fabulous Super Boo.

Wine Before Breakfast

Top: Audrey Faux Wrap Top from Kiyonna via Gwynnie Bee (click link to get a free month & help me earn a free month)

Skirt: Enwrapture Vintage Silk Sari (same skirt as this post, but worn with the other layer out)

Socks: Dreamer Diamond Wave OTK in Plum from Sock Dreams

Shoes: Gemma by Born via ebay

Necklace: Babil & Bijou

Earring: etXarte

Photography: Kate & Me
I wore this outfit to the first indoor farmer's market, wine tasting, & out to breakfast. Kate bought herself a kale flower that I am posing with at the market. After market wine tasting sounded like a fine idea, but I hadn't eaten any food yet...oops! I don't know why I am pulling out the under layer of this skirt in EVERY picture.
Kate is friends with the owner of the wine shop we frequent & she had some bottles left over from Friday night's tasting that we sampled before sipping Saturday's offerings. I like wine a lot, especially sparkly things...but I don't know much about it. I leave that to Kate. She has about a million bottles (over 1,000, which is close to a million, right?) & she's extremely good at sharing. After drinking wine on an empty stomach, we decided to go to Marigold for breakfast where I had duck confit hash...yum.
Did you notice my ORANGE shoes?! After posting a photo of them on a previous post, the seller on ebay relisted them and I made an offer since I was sad I let them slip by. I am a big fan of shoes in fun colors & wish I had more. I love them.

I wore this to work last Thursday & I am kind of in love with it. I was rather excited that the only purple socks I own were a good match with this top. I don't wear much purple, but it is a popular color at Gwynnie Bee...so I've suddenly become a frequent wearer of this hue. But I will not join the Red Hat Society.

I wore this Igigi dress to work on Monday & to a doctor's appointment. I felt that this was an odd color combination as it mixed warm & cool tones together. I would have liked it more if it was all warm.

In The Mood

Dress: Sweetheart Wrap Dress from Kiyonna via Gwynnie Bee (click link to get a free month & help me earn a free month)

Cardigan: Avenue

Purse: Vintage Coach

Shoes: Ariat

Jewelry: Vintage

Kate's Dress: Letta Dress from Igigi via Gwynnie Bee

Photography: Me, Kate, & extremely friendly stranger
Kate & I were unintentionally matchy on Sunday when we attended In The Mood at The Overture. We were told we "looked darling" and other lovely compliments. We were among the youngest in the audience. Kate wore a princess dress & I wore this incredibly comfortable wrap dress in a color I would not normally choose for myself. I liked it. It was purple, but a very warm purple & I thought it looked good with pops of red.
In The Mood is a 40s Big Band Revue with 6 dancers. They took us through the era in song, dance, & costumes. It was narrated as if we were actually in the 40s, & when the war was over & "the boys came home"...they went through each branch of the military & asked audience members who had served to stand up for each as they continued to play & we clapped to honor them. So many of the men had tears in their eyes (there were also some women), that made my eyes well up too...and then they played "Danny Boy". Unfair. The orchestra & dancers were fabulous (the singing was just good). One member of the band started his career when he was 19 playing for Ella Fitzgerald!

Nosferatu

 Sweater: Lane Bryant

Skirt: Enwrapture Vintage Silk Sari

Socks: Sock Dreams

Shoes: Liz Claiborne

Earring: etXarte

Photography: Super Boo & Me
I wore this outfit to the last outdoor Dane County Farmers' Market of the season, out for dinner with friends, & to see Nosferatu accompanied by a live organist. It's a pretty casual outfit for all of that, but it was comfortable and I *did* add a necklace when I went out at night.

How cute is this house?! It is in my favorite neighborhood and we pass it when we shop the East Side Farmer's Market. I love all the bowling balls.
I really adore these socks from Sock Dreams, they are the Dreamer Palm OTK in burgundy. I notice they are out of most of the colors this comes in & I really hope they restock. These socks stayed up all day & they have excellent stretch...I have 19" calves & these socks could easily accommodate another 5-6".
After dinner across the street with friends, we walked over to The Capitol Theatre to see Nosferatu with a live organ player. I'm afraid my photography does not do this theatre justice, but it is gorgeous. The organ is from 1927 & is original to the theatre.
Thanks to Super Boo...we got these awesome seats in our own private balcony right next to the organist. After we crammed ourselves into our assigned seats we had no room for our legs & I would have suffered through the show, but SB is braver than I & he inquired if something could be done so we could watch the show in comfort. We were expecting to be seated in a row without seats in front of us so our legs could stretch out...but instead they gave us what I think is the best seats in the house...with no neighbors.

Minnie Mouse Muffin

Dress: Riley Dress from Igigi via Gwynnie Bee (click link to get a free month & help me earn a free month)

Cardigan: Avenue

Shoes: Ariat

Necklace: Made by Me

Earring: etXarte

Photography: Super Boo
I wore this dress to see one client & run errands last Thursday. It came to me with one of the sleeve ties missing...the first time Gwynnie Bee has sent me anything that wasn't in perfect shape. I let them know and they promptly responded with an apology & gave me an extra item for 2 weeks.

I felt like Minnie Mouse in this dress. In a cute adorable way. I have worn this same dress from Igigi in black with white polka dots & in coral with black dots. The coral is my favorite and is currently on its way back to me. I may not let it go this time. Also, I never realized how often I wear this cardigan & shoes. I really like them. Obviously.

Kate & I had so much fun last month wearing the same dress together, that we decided to do it again (ok, we didn't really decide...Gwynnie Bee sent us the same dress at the same time again)! I am wearing this dress in a size 4 & Kate is wearing a size 1. We wore this dress out to dinner at La Brioche & then wandered down to the newly renovated downtown library to take pictures.
It was a rainy evening & we both brought our umbrellas. This fun entrance to the library goes through several color changes, but we thought we looked best against the red backdrop.
Sexy librarians. This book, "Seduced", was conveniently located. Can we help you find anything?

The library is a bit too white and modern for me...but look at this fabulous art display! Oodles of bookends painted myriad colors and hung on the wall. I asked a hesitant stranger if she would take our photo. I don't think people know what to make of us.
I ended up liking this dress so much that I bought it from Gywnnie Bee...what a deal!
