Purple Passion

Dress: Deep Purple Floral Knit Maxi Dress by Gabby Skye (size 4x) via Gwynnie Bee
Sandals: Born, thrifted
Earring: Kerala Rose
Necklace & Bracelet: Vintage
Photography: Super Boo, Kate, & Me
Stats: 5'7" 55-50-64
I am in love with this dress...it is most definitely one of my favorite dresses I've ever gotten from GB. The shade of purple was spectacular...but it was the fit that really got me. If I had a pattern for this dress...I'd make it over & over again. Perfection...I wouldn't change a thing (well, perhaps it could have been a few inches longer).
This was our first visit to Olbrich Gardens this year...it was so lovely. And how perfect was this backdrop of two different blackish purple plants?! I need to find out what the taller ones were & if I could keep them alive at home (doubtful). After we took pictures...we sat on this new retaining wall & finished reading RBG's obituary in NYT.
So, none of this jewelry really goes together...but I liked it all anyway...
My make-up with this outfit included...Urban Decay eyeliner in Perversion, Huda Beauty Amethyst Obsessions eyeshadow palette, Grape lipliner by MAC, Homegirl lipstick from Kat von D, & OPI nail polish in I Sing In Color.
My monthly Boxy Charm, Glam Vibes Only. Tracey painting a big porch pot. And my latest order from Artistic Painting Studio...foil to use on our closet mirror & resin to make a glitter top on my vanity.
My first Pop Polish order...& David unpacked all the boxes of Kate's wine & made more racks for the Bomb Cellar..these are two layers thick...over 1,000 bottles of wine. Too bad we only drink about once a month.
The final, (surprise!) girlie visit before her surgery...she sent me the most hilarious before shot of her boobs, but I guess I can't share it here.
I was in *desperate* need of more lipsticks...

Rose Bowl Float

Dress: Pink Peacock Paradise Mesh Rose Faux Wrap Dress by Leota (size 4L) via Gwynnie Bee
Skirt: Vintage silk sari skirt by Enwraptured Vintage
Sandals: Croft & Barrow, thrifted
Earring & Necklace: Wendy Baker
Bracelet: Vintage
Photography: Super Boo & Me
Stats: 5'7" 55-50-64
When this dress first appeared on Gwynnie Bee, I thought it was so pretty...not so much on me...waaaay too short in front & the fit was off all over. I added a skirt, but really...I shouldn't have bothered. Why wear clothes that don't make you feel pretty?! David said I looked like a Rose Bowl Float because of all the layers.
Nope.
At least I really liked my make-up on this day...
My make-up with this outfit included...Urban Decay eyeliner in Viper; Lime Crime eyeshadow in Twonicorn, Rose Burst, & Ten; Big Bang lipstick & lip liner by UD; Blood Orange lipstick from Bite Beauty; & Colors by Llarowe nail polish in Bow Chika Wow Wow.
Poor Rye is always climbing over to my office chair...save me from Violet! She is constantly licking him. Isn't this railroad track pretty with all the painted rocks?? It was posted on a neighborhood Facebook page I'm on & I snapped a photo so I'd remember where it was & perhaps use it to take outfit photos. I liked my make-up & tried to take a picture, but I suck at selfies...so here is the inside of my nose...
Angie & Freddie came over to visit us! He ate dinner, along with some raspberries I got from my favorite raspberry farmer...then he & David played peek-a-boo & practiced their silly walks around the yard.
Sean Hayes going live with his pianist. And...I decided to join Eloquii Unlimited (run by GB) since the first month is free. Why not? Dressing up once or twice a week to go nowhere is just about the only fun I have left.

Retro Flowers

Dress: Multi Sunflower Fit & Flare Dress by Eva Rose (size 4x) via Gwynnie Bee Try Then Buy
Teggings: Re/Dress
Sandals: Born
Earring & Bracelet: Wendy Baker
Photography: Super Boo, Kate, & Me
Stats: 5'7" 55-50-64
No garments at home from Gwynnie Bee meant I had to dig into my own closet...you know, the one where I have over 200 dresses I've never worn?! I bought this lovely retro flower print Eva Rose dress in March of 2019...how did I go all of last summer without wearing it?!!! I am in love. It is perfect in every way.
The sun was setting & the sky was golden yellow & red...gorgeous, but it's because of the fires out west, so that dims the beauty a bit. I tried to cool these photos down, but they are still really warm...but for once, my face is not glowing white.
I love how these pieces of jewelry come together & compliment the colors in this lovely dress.
My make-up with this outfit included...Urban Decay eyeliner in LSD, Sugarpill Cosmetics eyeshadow in Love+ & Buttercupcake, Mediteranee eyeshadow by Nars, NYX Liquid Suede lipstick in Foiled Again, UD Vice Special Effects in Seether, OPI nail polish in Tempura-ture is Rising!
The Glenn Crytzer Quartet playing live from the alley next to his apartment in NY. And Midwest Gypsy Swing Fest went online this year (duh!). I've thought about going for years, but this was my first experience...& it was fantastic! So many amazing bands from all over...I watched most of Saturday, but missed Friday...although I just discovered they archived it over on their webpage. I was impressed with the color coordination of Christine Tassan et les Imposteures from MontrĂ©al.
Robin Nolan from Amsterdam & Dennis Pol from Athens, Greece. The front yard flowers were out of control with weeds...so I did a spot of weeding in the rain.
The creators & local hosts of the fest, Harmonious Wail, playing at the barn the fest normally takes place at...& their adorable dog...& finally, these sexy gentlemen from Italy, Bruiskers Guitar Duo...I have a thing for men with big noses.
A distanced visit with Kate & Jason...check out the awesome mask & shoe coordination on the girlie...& our pandemic selfies continue. Night fall, & some fabulous 90s industrial, goth, & synthpop played by Matt made me feel like I was in my 20s again.

Brown & Creme Polka Dots!

Dress: Terracotta Dot Puff Sleeve Midi Dress by Taylor Dresses (size 24) via Gwynnie Bee
Shoes: Nine West, thrifted
Necklace & Bracelet: Vintage
Photography: Super Boo & Me
Stats: 5'7" 55-50-64
I didn't realize how much I missed brown until I wore this dress. I wear a lot of color now & brown just doesn't fit into my bright wardrobe the way it once did. This dress was spectacular...I adore polka dots, the fit was spot on (ha!), & I love a midi dress...also, the fabric was silky & felt lovely against my skin. The front slit was a bit high & while the buttons were cute, I'm against non-functioning buttons.
I was so excited to finally have an outfit to wear these shoes with...I found them at Savers years ago & I've been meaning to paint them more exciting colors...but procrastination.
I don't really have any brown jewelry, so I went with orange & amber. And this fabulous metallic orange liner from Kat von D...which I had to suck on to get going...& then my mouth was full of orange liquid.
My make-up with this outfit included...Urban Decay eyeliner in Roach, Kat von D Lightning Metallic Liner in Ludwig, Dirty Talk & Ounce eyeshadow by UD, Pumpkin lipstick by KvD, UD Vice Special Effects in Seether, & Harvest Moon nail polish from China Glaze.
As I was looking through these outfit photos...it occurred to me that I have a brown & creme polka dot bracelet I had picked up at a garage sale some time ago...so I *do* have some brown jewelry. This pretty gold & peach Vendome necklace/earrings came in the mail from eBay...who sent me a $25 off coupon in celebration of 25 years of eBay...I've been a member since 1996. Them Coulee Boys playing Labor of Love Fest, raising money for suicide prevention. Raspberries from Fern at Tuesday's Eastside Market...& baby ginger, yum. Also, my first trip to the beauty supply since the pandemic hit...we ordered online once. The huge display of OPI polish that is always packed...had about 3 colors available, so I asked why they were discontinuing carrying OPI...& I guess it's just nearly impossible to get right now...I *need* some of the new fall shades.  Soren from Them Coulee Boys...the 2nd installment of Soren Sings 'em Sad & Slow. Tracey teaches...& check out this gorgeous ginger peach hair...do I need ginger peach hair?!
Rochelle Clark & Jason Dennie playing live on The Ark Facebook page...& Virtually Green Note #45 with Serious Sam Barrett, The Washboard Resonators, & James the Fang...I hadn't heard of any of them before watching this & now I'm a fan...the one good thing about quarantine has been discovering new bands.
Using gold wax to make this silver metal warm...the right is gold...much more noticeable in real life. The Lowest Pair playing live from their home in Olympia, WA...their last until November.

Leopard Love

Dress: Animal Print Green Dress by Renee C (size 3x) via Gwynnie Bee
Leggings: LuLaRoe via eBay
Shoes: Nine West, thrifted
Earring: Kerala Rose
Necklace: Wendy Baker
Bracelet: Vintage
Photography: Super Boo & Me
Stats: 5'7" 55-50-64
The only thing I love more than leopard print is leopard print in bright colors! This dress made me smile with its fun purple, blue, & green spots. The lining kept peeking out on the arms & around the neckline. The fit was great, however, it was a bit short. But this isn't normal times & I just wore this dress to do teletherapy calls in.

Which means that no one got to enjoy my Halloween leggings but me & David. Or my shoes.

I even wore my leopard print glasses with my newly updated perscription.

I was especially pleased that I found a green shadow that perfectly matched the dress...
My make-up with this outfit included...Urban Decay eyeliner in Psychedelic Sister, UD eyeshadow in Big Sky, Huda Beauty Amethyst Obsessions eyeshadow palette, Spiced Plum lipstick by Bite Beauty, UD Vice Waterproof Liquid Lipstick in Flashback, & Purple with a Purpose nail polish by OPI.
My office art came from Heather Renaux...along with some pretty postcards.And...the lovely Carsie Blanton had a birthday...& she sent her Patreon supporters free stuff...this was a fabulous package to open & included a game she made up about sex...which I would have LOVED to play with my friends when I was in my 20s. David made us tacos tucked into a perfectly melty crispy cheddar cheese shell. And...The Metropolitan Opera was showing Porgy & Bess for free over the weekend...it was spectacular. Hi, Sean! Playing his usual Friday evening radio hour...& Glenn Crytzer & his band playing live from the other coast in his NYC alley next to his home.
