Nude Lips

Dress: Abstract Print Midi Dress by Robbie Bee (size 1x) via Gwynnie Bee
Teggings: Re/Dress
Sandals: Born
Earring: Wendy Baker
Necklace: Colleen Toland
Bracelets: Vintage
Photography: Super Boo & Me
Stats: 5'7" 40-37-53
I'm not sure what I was thinking with this boring dress...I think it was the pleats that got me? I would say it runs tts...this one was big on me because it didn't come in a smaller size. It's fine, just not my thing.
This was my first time wearing these Born sandals I found on Poshmark...I like them...a nice true bright red.
I could use a matching red Colleen Toland earring. The most interesting thing about this outfit is me going outside my comfort zone with my make-up...nude lips! And a classic smoky eye with black liner. I couldn't bring myself to do nude nails...I already did a version of that
My make-up with outfit included...Urban Decay eyeliner in Perversion; Harlow, Lash Line, & Crease eyeshadow by Natasha Denona; Dirty Little Secret Cosmetics lipliner in Pale Pink; Yucca & Chai lipstick from Bite Beauty; & OPI nail polish in Red Heads Ahead.
I wore this dress to work once & took photos of it on that day. New Fluevogs from Poshmark & my August Boxy Charm.

Tights: Snag
Shoes: Fluevog, Time: Bridget
Earring: etXarte
Necklace & Bracelet: Vintage

I was rather disappointed when I saw this was on its way to me from GB...it's a bit past cowl neck season. But...Wisconsin spring is unpredictable & we had a snap of cold weather. Also, I immediately fell in love with this dress...the dots, dashes, & stripes in mustard, black, & creme was fetching. And I liked the asymmetrical neckline. The fit was spot on. I'd buy this dress if it showed up in the shop.
I wasn't sure I'd ever worn this cardigan before, but it turns out I had, back in 2018. I adore the front of it, but am always disappointed when a design is not carried through the back.
restored these old Fluevogs from the Time family over the winter & I finally got to wear them. And...I finally found the name of them, Bridget.
My make-up with this outfit included...Urban Decay eyeliner in Perversion, Kat von D Tattoo liner in Trooper, Carnelian eyeshadow by Natasha Denona, UD lip liner in 714, Beso lipstick by Stila, & OPI nail polish in You Make Me Vroom.
Girlies after market! Kate had to push me around in a wheelchair...such a wonderful girlie. And we got to car chat! I stopped & picked my favorite flowers, lilacs, on my way home. I seem to remember them lasting in a vase for a few days, but now they don't make it 24 hours. So sad. I just love how they smell.
Saturday night new wave tunes & Sunday with Glenn Crytzer & his band playing songs from 1943. And Social Distance Undercovered doing 60's Girl Groups.

Blueberry Rooibos

Dress: Ruffle Detail Navy Floral Dress by Robbie Bee (size 3x) via Gwynnie Bee
Cardigan: Charter Club (size 3x), thrifted
Leggings: LuLaRoe via eBay
Shoes: Mossimo, thrifted
Earring: Wendy Baker
Necklace & Bracelet: Vintage

Great fit on another boring dress...sigh...do you see a pattern here? After I typed that sentence, I went & deleted dresses from my GB closet that looked like a yawn fest. Cute ruffle midway down the skirt. The white flowers were raised & looked a bit cheap to me.
Oops...the lining was completely out in back...I hate dresses that do that...line the dress or don't line it, but bits of random fabric that need tending to...nope.
I liked how I styled the dress. This was my first wearing of this necklace & the cardigan (I had to pop the tags off).
My make-up with this outfit included...Urban Decay eyeliner in Goddess, UD eyeshadow in Fireball, RSVP eyeshadow by Lime Crime, NYX Liquid Suede lipstick in Foiled Again & Life's A Beach, Trinket lipstick from Sugarpill Cosmetics, & OPI nail polish in Conga-Line Coral.
Michael Waite. Blueberry Rooibos tea at night...I'm not really a tea drinker, but Kate & I got this tea years ago at Chocolatarian & it is delightful. DJ Baby Berlin spinning 90s happy hour.
I'm Too Sexy mix on Twitch. Duran Duran via DJ/VJ Ant. And check out these gorgeous layered fishnets from a chick on the Flummunity...I suspect she added the flowers herself & it's just stunning.

Conservas

Dress: Tie Waist Navy Floral Dress by Robbie Bee (size 3x) via Gwynnie Bee
Cardigan: Willow Bay (size 3x), thrifted
Shoes: Merona, thrifted
Earring & Necklace: Wendy Baker
Bracelet: Vintage
Photography: Super Boo & Me
Stats: 5'7" 50-47-68
Another conservative dress...who keeps adding these to my GB closet?! I felt like a gender reveal party for twins in this outfit...but I didn't kill or injure anyone. Soft pretty spring frock, which was appropriate since we're having unseasonably warm weather here in Wisconsin. Great fitting dress with a subtle hi-lo hem.
I've been trying to throw stuff away that doesn't bring me joy & isn't special...but I've got a lot of boring shoes in bright colors...so I don't feel I can throw these pink shoes out unless I replace them. Any shoes that make me feel like a lunch lady are out though.
I'm really embracing pink in my wardrobe now...pink looks good on nearly everyone.
My make-up with this outfit included...NYX eyeliner in Deep Blue, Rage Quit eyeshadow by Sugarpill Cosmetics, Lumiere eyeshadow by Mon Ennui Cosmetics, Becca lipliner in Mood, NYX Liquid Suede lipstick in Pink Lust, Santorini liquid lipstick by Ofra, & OPI nail polish in Pompeii Purple.
Directly after taking these outfit photos...we went to the gym to lift weights (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) before rushing home to see clients. At least I got to wear it in public? I don't need to use the wheelchair any longer, but did last week because I was supposed to stay off my knee as much as possible for 72 hours after my PRP shot. David made us a simple spectacular meal that night...he picked up a beef tenderloin at the co-op at the suggestion of a butcher who knows him, along with out of season asparagus (which we rarely do anymore), crispy shallots, & a horseradish cream sauce...which the perfectly cooked beef did not need, but was excellent with the asparagus. I am still dreaming of this dinner. Counting my Fluevogs...I had forgotten about these 2 pairs from the 90s...I'm pretty sure I'd need to be a pants wearer to wear these. And a photo of my first Fluevogs from the 90s...I wore them so much I had to throw them away & I ordered what I thought was another pair, but the sole was cork, like Birkenstocks...ick. I should sell them, but who would want them?
DJ Baby Berlin, Synthetic Thursdays. And a few surprise live songs from Davina. The Lowest Pair...I miss live music SO much.
This popped up on my TimeHop last week...Shane bought me this antique photo album & framed one of our senior pictures in it.
O!M!G! The mirror Tracey made for me finally found its way to me!!! She wrote about the process on her blog & I just can't even believe it's MINE. I LOVE it. She was having difficulty finding a reliable shipper to get it from Texas to here...but the guy that delivered it was great. Isn't it amazing & so perfect for me?! One of the lovers suffered a few chips, but I can easily fix those.
A boxful on Conservas arrived at my door from my lovely & generous girlie...from Caputo's. She asked me to think of us being on vacation together when I eat them. I can do that! Also, I enjoyed the helpful hints on how to eat them in the article I linked to & am now going to try anchovies with both soft boiled eggs & roasted broccoli. I'm getting a bit bored with my current arrangement of micro greens & canned fish with a side of Parmesan everything crisps. Not a pretty picture...but a breakfast we've been having a lot lately...sweet potato hash with fried eggs. DJ Baby Berlin featuring songs by Pet Shop Boys vs Erasure & other 80s new wave...& DJ Bit with Bauhaus vs Oingo Boingo.

Plaid All Over

Dress: Cowl Neck Plaid Dress by Robbie Bee (size 3x) via Gwynnie Bee
Leggings: Torrid (size 4x)
Shoes: Merona, thrifted
Earring: etXarte
Necklace & Bracelet: Vintage
Photography: Super Boo & Me
Stats: 5'7" 55-50-64
Alright, so I dislike cowl necks & it's the wrong season for this dress...BUT, I loved it. And I simply adore plaid, so I could not resist throwing more plaid into the mix. Fantastic fit & length, deep pockets, & gorgeous green mixed with the b&w print.
So, my office is a bit dim...& the color in this dress seemed teal to me...so that is how I planned my outfit...makeup & accessories. Once I took this dress into my closet with fantastic lighting...I noticed it was in fact...green. But I was already all made up...I was just grabbing shoes. I thought about changing...but I wasn't actually *going* anywhere in this outfit...so...off we went to take photos. And David said, blue & green are the same color.
Hair salons opened up here last week, but I just don't think getting my hair done is a good idea while the virus numbers are worse than ever here in Wisconsin. I may have to chop at my bangs myself. I *did* go to cosmetology school back in the 80s.
My make-up with this outfit included...Urban Decay eyeliner in Perversion; UD eyeshadow in Urb, Half Baked, & Minx; Gothica lipstick from Kat von D; NYX Cosmic Metals lipstick in Electromagnetic; & This Color's Making Waves nail polish by OPI.
I wore this outfit to do teletherapy & other things at home. Including watching a fabulous Fleetwood Mac drag brunch...with Biqtch Puddin', Dusty Ray Bottoms, & Pandora Boxx...& a bunch of other fun queens.
Davina singing to us & Bret Helm of Audra trying out his Sunday show on Instagram (no one liked it as much). Pokey LaFarge DJed for 2 hours & of course has awesome taste in music...my favorite was the Esther Phillips songs he played. I'm sure I've heard her before, but I did a deep dive after listening to his radio show. Angie texted us about this FREE table on FB Marketplace & David immediately went to pick it up...they threw in 2 chairs too. The top is slate & the bottom is concrete...suuuuuper heavy. I'm going to paint the base some fun colors.
Cory Chisel! He hasn't been online much, but he did a one hour show on Tuesday Tub Tunes to raise money for his new initiative called Soundlab...for healthcare workers to heal through songwriting. I got a notice that Trixie Mattel went live...& apparently she plays some video game online? Picking up from the Wednesday farmers' market on a lovely day.
Scott Bradlee, Amanda Palmer, Pokey LaFarge, & new shoes.

Learning to Stay

Dress: Coral & Aqua Zig Zag Print Dress by Robbie Bee (size 24) via Gwynnie Bee (use my link to get your first month free & help me earn GB credit)
Leggings: Torrid (size 4) (this pattern is on sale)
Shoes: ?, thrifted
Earring: etXarte
Necklace & Bracelet: Vintage
Photography: Super Boo & Me
Stats: 5'7" 55-50-64
This dress was pretty & springy, however...it didn't quite work on my body. The top was tight (despite being a stretch jersey) & the set-in waist hit me at a weird spot (ok, I just don't have a waist...which is why I prefer empire cuts). The bottom chiffon fabric was ultra flowy & I like handkerchief hems in the warmer months. The colors in this dress were unusual...a mix of coral, red, pink, & aqua...it made choosing make-up & jewelry challenging, but despite all that...it was fun to wear out once. This was my first time trying this brand...I look forward to wearing more from them.
Also, it gave me an excuse to wear these sun & moon leggings from Torrid. Back in the 90s I was obsessed with sun & moon everything...I called my nail salon La Luna as an excuse to buy it all to decorate the place. I still have most of it stored away. Of course.
Angie & I went to see Learning to Stay. I'm so glad she wanted to go as I would have skipped it otherwise. It was the premiere of an all Wisconsin play...the book was written by a local author & it was adapted for the stage by APT actor/writer, James Devita. It's a moving story about a man returning from Iraq with PTSD & reuniting with his wife.
After play dinner at Ha Long Bay...those crispy noodles are the best. Then home to cut Super Boo's hair...Rye helped.
Picking out colors at Hallman/Lindsay....so many gorgeous shades to choose from! Also, loading up an antique bedroom set from a former nail client...she was only the second owner, now I am the third.
Indian buffet...why is it always so good...curry & cardamom & ginger...so many lovely spices. I liked this woman's pants...they look pirate-y...I would like a plus size version, please.
My make-up with this outfit included...NYX eyeliner in Gypsy Blue; Synth eyeshadow by Kat von D; Urban Decay eyeshadow in Fast-Ball, Arctic, Bones, & Harlot; Dozen Carnations lipstick from MAC; Quince lipstick from Bite Beauty; & OPI nail polish in Romantically Involved.
