B*tch not Beans with Lowest Pair

Dress: Kate Dress in Woodland Friends Floral by Cherry Velvet (size 4x) via Gwynnie Bee (use my link to get your first month free & help me earn GB credit)
Teggings: Re/Dress
Shoes: Born
Earring & Necklace: Wendy Baker
Bracelets: Vintage
Photography: Super Boo, Jason, & Me
Stats: 5'7" 55-50-64
Adorable baby animals on this cutesy cotton dress. I find the Kate to be the most roomy of Cherry Velvet's dresses...& it is lovely, except for the button detail on the front...the fabric doesn't care to stay put. The first time I wore this style (in a button print), I fashion taped the ends down...but I've also found that tucking them in, even for 1/2 an hour, allows them to take a flat shape. Alternately, I've also just worn them tucked in so I don't have to think about it. I could wear a size 3x in this dress, but I appreciate the loose fit in the summer heat.
From a distance, it looks like these green teggings aren't matching anything...but they are a perfect match for the foliage in the dress. One of the two times I wore this dress out, I paired it with navy teggings...but that seemed too boring.
I spy...baby woodland creatures...foxes, owls, bunnies, & birds...
My make-up with this frock included...Urban Decay eyeliner in LSD & Deep End, UD eyeshadow in Dragon & Freeze, Flamepoint eyeshadow by Sugarpill, NYX eyeshadow palette in Warm Neutrals, Hippie Chic lipstick from NYX, Habanero lipstick by MAC, & OPI nail polish in Go with the Lava Flow.
I first wore this outfit to get my hair cut by Gen at Cha Cha...it's across the street from a St. Vinny's, so I always pop in there to browse. I hardly ever find anything for me...but I usually pick out a few plushies for the doggies...best $2 dog toy ever. That same day we hit Savers for the very last time before they closed...the day before everything went to 50% off...we wanted to beat the rush. Also, an eShakti dress from GB that I sent back unworn...my usual size of 28 was just too tight for me...I think the seams would have burst if I tried to sit down.
Rye LOVES stuffed animals...& this hippo was his favorite yet. He chewed on it, but left it intact for three weeks...he carried it around with him & snuggled with his friend...it was precious. I wonder if it was because it looked like him? Olive is not into stuffies, but I get them for her anyway so she doesn't feel left out.
The second time I wore this dress was to go to The Shitty Barn with Kate & Jason...we decided to pack a picnic. I typically talk to Siri over my stereo in the car...lately, she's been going downhill with her word recognition skills...how exactly does beets sound like beans or bitch?

Laughing girlies at the barn...

The Lowest Pair...fantastic as always...they are amazing live...

Labyrinth

Dress: Elsa Dress from Igigi (size 26/28) via Gwynnie Bee Shop
Tights: We Love Colors in Teal
Shoes: Dansko, gift from David
Earring: Wendy Baker
Necklace: Babil & Bijou, former etsy shop
Bracelets: Vintage
Photography: Super Boo, Kate, & Me
Stats: 5'7" 55-50-64
I bought this Igigi dress quite a while back from the GB Shop (I'm just guessing, really...I can never remember where I get things). I last wore it in December 2014, & in March of that same year. I looked SO much younger 4 years ago! Another great old Igigi frock with a faux obi waistband, lovely length, & modest neckline in a pretty purple & blue watercolor print.
I really really want to like these shoes David got me (I also have them in pink)...but I think they're just too conservative for me.
I thought it was pretty funny that I chose the same necklace AND nail polish to wear with this dress as I did the very first time.
My make-up with this outfit included...Gypsy Blue eyeliner by NYX; Urban Decay eyeshadow in Alter, Druggie, Fringe, & Sinful; NYX Lip Palette in The Plums; & Rockin' My JuJu nail polish from Colors by Llarowe.
I wore this dress on three different days...first, to see Labyrinth with Kate during my birthday weekend...we both love that movie. David Bowie as the Goblin King *swoon*. Then Thai food for dinner...
A week later on a busy Saturday...farmers' market with the girlie, a random woman with awesome elephant pants, & dropping ramps, shiitake mushrooms, & asparagus off for Maggie to take pictures of for my farmers' market tattoo.
When I was done with market...David & I headed to Milwaukee to check out ReStore & Waste Cap for fun stuff. They had this decorative tin at ReStore, but we think we already have enough (to cover our dining room & living room ceiling)...so for the first time, we left with nothing. We did find this wedding cake-like glass shade & a marvelous cameo woman light fixture (for our hallway entrance) at Waste Cap...then a Hawaiian burger at Oscar's.
As soon as we got back to Madison, we took these outfit shots...then I was off to the drive-in with Kate & Jason to see Avengers Infinity War & Black Panther (although we decided we didn't want to get home at 2am, so we left after Avengers). Check out the three vehicles in back of us...their drive-in game was strong...a truck bed full of pillows, cushy canoes, & a mattress in another truck bed.
On the last day of this dress...David & I went to Half Price Books to sell a box of books...I needed to take a photo of this Etgar Keret book so I'd remember to look it up. He wrote a short story that was turned into one of my favorite film fest movies, Wristcutters...& I think he's an amazing writer. Also...Indian buffet & Savers.

Mauve Leopard

Dress: Circle Dress in Leopard Jacquard by Leota (size 5L) via Gwynnie Bee (use my link to get your first month free & help me earn GB credit)
Tights: Catherines
Shoes: Dansko
Earring:
Necklace: Wendy Baker
Bracelet: Vintage
Photography: Super Boo & Me
Stats: 5'7" 55-50-64
I already wore this style of dress in a teal circle print, so I knew what I was getting into...perfectly lovely heavy knit fit & flare...super cute, with the exception of the top having way too much fabric. If this showed up in the shop for $20...I'd take a chance & buy this one size smaller. I loved the unexpected mauve leopard print, I expected it to be pink. Great one & done, back in the bag to GB.
Low scoop neck back (a lot of girls wore this backwards).
I think I got these lips to nearly match the dress...
My makeup with this outfit included...Urban Decay eyeliner in Delinquent; Kat von D eyeshadow in Swoon, Love, & Anthem; Creme Brûlée eyeshadow from Too Faced; UD lipstick in Big Bang & Speedball; & Sonora Sunset nail polish by OPI.
I wore this dress on a Sunday to go to Savers with David to find a few finds...followed by Indian buffet. Also, this pretty bracelet came in the mail from eBay.
Later in the afternoon...Kate & I went to her wine tasting group where the theme was...grocery store wines under $20. The girlie matched her wine to her leggings. The other two photos were taken by Scott Lothes, which I lifted from the article Lindsay wrote about the tasting.

20th Annual Wisconsin Film Festival

Dress: Cross Front 40's Dress in Blue Medallion by Scarlett & Jo (size 28)
Cardigan: ?, thrifted
Tights: We Love Colors in Royal
Shoes: ?, thrifted
Earring: etXarte
Necklace & Bracelet: Babil & Bijou, former etsy shop
Photography: Super Boo & Me
Stats: 5'7" 55-50-64
This is dress #4 of the 5 dresses I bought last year from Scarlett & Jo...super comfortable & cute...everything you want in a casual dress. Great fit & length...this dress was perfectly lovely in every way...but it had shoulder pads that I forgot to cut out...ooops. Why shoulder pads?!
I was rather proud of my matching color pattern mixing with this cardigan.
This dress is light enough to wear all year round...I can see it with teggings & sandals in the summer.
I never got around to taking photos of my make-up with this outfit...although I wish I knew what lipstick I was wearing here because I love it.
I wore this dress to days 2 & 3 of the Wisconsin Film Fest (there is only 1 movie on the first day & it wasn't something I was interested in). The Guilty was my favorite film on Friday...Saturday's was Lots of Kids, A Monkey, & A Castle. Festival Coordinator, Ben, shows us how to use the film fest blanket to text during the movies. Aren't those women's dresses adorable?
Savers was having a 50% off sale on Saturday...so David & I rushed there before the movies began. This was my last time shopping at Savers before finding out they are closing in Madison on May 19th. I nearly cried when Angie texted me this news. Where will I find cashmere cardigans for $4.50?!
I had enough time to stop by Underground Butcher & grab a breakfast sandwich...they'd only been open an hour...but they were sold out of bagels already...English muffins just aren't as tasty.

Each year the film fest has a trailer they show before every movie...this year they did something different...they had 12 local bands perform a song Ben wrote several years back for the trailer, putting their own spin on it, so there was the excitement every time of what trailer you would see...instead of dreading having to watch the same one 20+ times. I took photos of them so I could keep track of which ones I'd seen.

Kate & I having lunch at the Great Dane between movies.

Deco Stripes

Dress: Taral Dress in Deco Stripe by Catherine Malandrino (size 4x) via Gwynnie Bee (use my link to get your first month free & help me earn GB credit)
Cardigan: ?, thrifted
Leggings: Torrid
Boots: Steve Madden
Earring: etXarte
Necklace & Bracelets: Vintage
Photography: Super Boo & Me
Stats: 5'7" 55-50-64
The colors & pattern of stripes in this dress were splendid. Great fit & length...but there was not enough fabric on top...I had to play with the neckline quite a bit to get it to cover my bra for these photos...& I had to put a black cami on to wear this to work. This seems to be a trend I'm noticing lately...I'm only a DD, so it's not my boobs busting out. Otherwise it was perfect & I would have happily bought it if the top had fit.
This dress came with a matching belt, but GB didn't send it to me...I probably wouldn't have worn it anyway.
I wore this yellow cardigan when I was outside in this dress as it's still chilly here in the midwest. And if orange is the color of fun...yellow is the color of happiness.
My makeup with this outfit included...NYX eyeliner in Jet Black, Urban Decay eyeshadow in Fireball, Anastasia eyeshadow in Edge, NYX eyeshadow palette in Warm Neutrals, Trinket lipstick from Sugarpill, & OPI nail polish in Rich & Brazilian.
I wore this dress to farmers' market with the girlie, then to Deconstruction Inc with David...that fence *swoon*...& patterns were on sale at Joann...& there was so much pretty fabric.
David got me this purse light for Christmas because I am always losing things in my messy overfull bag...I didn't even know such a thing existed...it goes on when the purse is opened. You all need one...it has changed my life. I went into Catherines to pick up some stockings...this is the nicest dress I've ever seen in there. I also wore this dress to shop the second day of the Savers sale with David, eat Indian buffet, open a package from the loveliest of Wendy's, & have dinner with Kate at her tempartment.
The second Savers haul...which included a full length black wool winter coat. And my gorgeous new necklace & earrings from Wendy.
