Davina & The Vagabonds

Dress: Ditsy Floral Black Fit & Flare Dress by Eva Rose (size 4x) via Gwynnie Bee
Leggings: LuLaRoe (size TC2) via eBay
Sandals: Born
Earring & Necklace: Wendy Baker
Bracelets: Vintage
Photography: Super Boo & Me
Stats: 5'7" 55-50-64
These cotton dresses from Eva Rose are a summer dream...they have replaced Cherry Velvet, who no longer makes my size, in my closet. Everything about this dress was perfection...the only reason I didn't buy it is because I already own quite a few & this itty bitty print did not have enough presence for me.
I'm smitten with these baking leggings. I know they don't really go...but why let that stop me now?!
Freshly dyed hair...
My make-up with this outfit included...Urban Decay eyeliner in LSD, Love + & Buttercupcake eyeshadow from Sugarpill Cosmetics, Too Faced eyeshadow in Marzipan & Crème Brûlée, MAC lipstick in Russian Red, & Aim to Misbehave nail polish by Essie.
I first wore this dress to peruse some garage sales after market...this bowling ball house has long been a favorite of mine...but they weren't letting any of their good stuff go. Pictorial evidence of Zelda's wellbeing (I was feeding her while Kate & Jason were in St. Louis) & Indian buffet with David.
The next night...Kate got back into town just in time to see Davina with me...we got a table right up front. She has an amazing voice & is just adorable...she noticed me from stage & waved *fan girl squee*.
Things that came into my life while wearing this outfit...garage sale finds, LuLaRoe leggings from eBay, 2 new bags to help organize my purse from Etsy, & some sale items from Urban Decay.

The Ordinary

Dress: Pink Multi Colorblock Fit & Flare Dress by Hutch (size 4x) via Gwynnie Bee
Tights: ?
Shoes: Dr. Martens, thrifted
Earring: Former Etsy Shop
Pink Necklace: Wendy Baker
Long Necklace & Bracelet: Vintage
Photography: Super Boo & Me
Stats: 5'7" 55-50-64
This rather heavy lined dress was perfect for our fall-like spring. Good fit & length...I liked the color combination & vertical lines.
What I enjoyed most about this outfit was breaking out these never worn Docs that I found a few years ago at Savers.
I really love my make-up here, but unsure about the jewelry choices...
My make-up with this outfit included...NYX Faux Blacks eyeliner in Oxblood; Urban Decay eyeshadow in Hot Spot, Bang Bang, Ambitious, Devilish, & Young Love; Dubonnet Amplified lipstick by MAC; NYX lip palette in The Plums; & Suzy Loves Sydney nail polish from OPI.
What came in the mail? My Play! box from Sephora, some skincare from The Ordinary, LuLaRoe leggings, & some velvet leggings from an online friend. I was looking for some marula oil to mix with my Drunk Elephant night serum & The Ordinary brand came up...I am LOVING these incredibly *cheap* products...why didn't anyone tell meeeee?! Well, I'm telling you...check them out.
David & I wanted a quick lunch between clients & I had been wanting to check out Five Guys for YEARS...so, this was our first time there...it was pretty tasty. I went to The Sylvee to buy tickets to a show & there were about 8 people camped outside (they had been there since morning & ordered pizza for lunch according to the ticket lady)...it was still several hours until doors opened for a band I've never heard of. But they have dedicated fans.
Thursday CSA pick-up at Angie's. I changed clothes. We worshipped our favorite adorable baby & Angie made delicious food...we brought over catfish (which none of us particularly likes, but it was what was freshest at market) & Angie slathered it in ramp butter that she made. Delightful.

Memorial Weekend

Dress: Technicolor Stripe Oceangoing Dress by Effie's Heart (size 4x) via GB Resellers
Leggings: LuLaRoe (size TC2) via ebay
Sandals: Born, thrifted
Earring & Necklace: former Etsy shop
Bracelet: Vintage
Photography: Super Boo, Kate, & Me
Stats: 5'7" 55-50-64
When GB got this colorful stripey Effie's Heart dress...I swooned & put it on priority...but it never got sent to me. So when Rita or Loraine had it available...I swooped in & nabbed it. Perfect summer dress, ADORE EH all summer long. This high/low style worked for me because the same pattern is showing in the back. I loved this dress so much I wore it all weekend.
What made this dress even *more* happy...pairing it with these colorful zigzag leggings...
Light make-up for me since we spent both Saturday & Sunday outside...in perfect spring weather.
My make-up with this outfit included...Urban Decay eyeliner in Torch & Starfire; Harpsichord, Fran, & Legend eyeshadow by Kat von D; New York Apple lipstick from MAC; & OPI nail polish in Animal-istic.
Saturday, WASTED: Goes All Natural. Delightful natural wines & tasty nibbles. I made curried deviled eggs. It was a lovely day to sit outside surrounded by David & Kate.
Also, there was a cute dog...how did she not make it into any of the pictures?! Too much drinking, not enough photos.
Sunday, Tony's annual birthday cookout featuring an adorable Freddie eating his first watermelon. And a far away picture of David learning from Nathan that we shouldn't lease a car, but buy a car that's been leased for 3 years instead. It makes sense.
 The cutest baby ever...

Anna Tivel // Among The Wild

Dress: Turquoise Floral Fit & Flare Dress by Jessica Howard (size 24) via Gwynnie Bee
Leggings: LuLaRoe via eBay
Sandals: Array, thrifted
Earring: Wendy Baker
Necklaces & Bracelets: Vintage
Photography: Super Boo, Kate, & Me
Stats: 5'7" 55-50-64
Great Miami Vice colors in this dress (I've never seen that show, can you believe it? I didn't watch tv much back then)...liked the length, fit, & textured fabric. Cute dress to wear twice, then send back.
To me, the best part of this outfit is my LuLaRoe leggings...I just love that they come in my size now because there are so many pretty patterns.
I chained these two vintage necklaces together to get them at the right length.
My make-up with this outfit included...Urban Decay eyeliner in Abyss; Anastasia eyeshadow in Bahamas, Inheritance, Mediterranean, & Seychelles; Quince lipstick from Bite Beauty; & Atomic Orange nail polish by OPI.
I wore this outfit to get a facial (birthday present from David)...it's one of those things that's difficult for me to spend money on, but it's one of my very favorite things...so relaxing & pampering. Also, we got our little apple trees from Weston Antique Apples (our favorite apple vendor at farmers' market)...one each of King David, Arkansas Black, & Ashmead's Kernal.
Later that day...Spring Green with Kate! Her first Shitty Show of the season...after that lovely facial, I couldn't bear to cover my skin with foundation...so bare skin for me.
Rosé on a spring day with my bezzer. And tacos.
Among the Wild opened...then Anna Tivel (with sometime special guest harmonies by J.E. Sunde).
The next morning...West side farmers' market in my nightgown...with lilacs! I also wore this outfit on another day to work...then we took photos.

Final Farmers' Market Tattoo // Miles Nielsen & The Rusted Hearts

Dress: Textured Black Ava Dress by Leota (size 4x) via Gwynnie Bee
Leggings: ASOS Curve
Cardigan: Susan Graver (size 2x), thrifted
Socks: Sock Dreams
Shoes: Tredair
Earring: Age Before Beauty
Necklaces & Bracelet: Vintage
Photography: Super Boo, Maggie, & Me
Stats: 5'7" 55-50-64
A plain black dress? A former goth girl's dream. But not any more...I needed to throw some color at this black dress. I liked the textured pattern on the dress & the length was great...I felt it was a bit clingy & the armholes were too large. It would be a nice year round dress with the medium weight material & lack of sleeves...but I'm happy with our chilly spring so I can still wear cardigans.
I found this marvelous cardigan at Savers years ago, but this is my first time wearing it...I adore how it suggests fire without flames.
Especially since my shoes have the flames covered. I bought these bad ass shoes back in the 90s & wear them about every 5 years...
And what were the chances that there would be a wall with flames on it that I could take my picture in front of?! It was meant to be.
My make-up with this outfit included...Urban Decay eyeliner in Perversion; Sugarpill eyeshadow in Buttercupcake, Flame, & Love+; Mimosa lipstick from Bite Beauty; Ready? lipstick by UD; & OPI nail polish in Atomic Orange.
This wall on the side of Mother Fool's Coffee currently has the devil down below & God on top...it gets repainted every month or so.
I first wore this outfit to have a final touchup session with Maggie for my farmers' market tattoo...isn't it glorious?! I'm in love...
Those garlic scapes top it off so perfectly...
Maggie is a magical creature.
On our way to work...pizza...flowers outside the restaurant & more new LuLaRoe leggings.
I also wore this outfit to go to The Shitty Barn to see Miles Nielsen & The Rusted Hearts (Andy Jenkins opened) & eat tacos. They were awesome & I learned that he's the son of Cheap Trick's Rick Nielsen after I kept hearing everyone around me talk about Cheap Trick & I looked it up. Of course an annoying girl in the audience yelled out, who's your daddy? half way through the show.
