Seasaw

Dress: Floral Mini Dress from Maeve by Anthropology (size 18) via Nuuly (use my link & we both get $10 off)
Leggings: LuLaRoe via eBay (size TC2)
Sandals: Born
Necklace & Bracelet: Vintage
Photography: Super Boo, Kate, & Me
Stats: 5'7" 46-43-60
Adorable kitchy flowers & leopards & zebras, oh my, dress. Perfect summer casual cotton colorful dress...& bonus...Kate really liked it. Great fit, length was a bit on the short side...but I got to wear loudly floral leggings, so, win. This dress was lined, had pockets, no stretch, with a nice cinched waist.
Kate thought the leggings were a bit much, then changed her mind...but also, this was the last time I'd be seeing her before my knee replacement surgery & she probably didn't want to say anything mean to me that would weigh on her conscience if I died. But, I didn't die. And I stand by the legging choice...it makes me smile.

I think this is only the second, maybe third time I'm wearing this purple elephant necklace...it went with the wild animal theme & all the colors.
My make-up with this outfit included...Urban Decay eyeliner in Viper, Guilt Trip eyeshadow by UD, Mediteranee eyeshadow duo from Nars, Bite Beauty lipliner in 72, Nectar lipstick by Sugarpill Cosmetics, & OPI nail polish in Orange You Going To The Game?
I spied a pretty butterfly on our flowers while going into the house. Steak stir-fry made with a bunch of different peppers David got from his friend's garden. Girlie & a beer...outside on a gorgeous night.
The Sylvee had a series of outdoor concerts behind their venue this summer & we'd been looking forward to seeing SeaSaw for months. The last time we saw them was on a boat in August 2019...so, far too long.
DJ Boyfriend opened & it was fun listening to music I would never seek out. The people & dog watching were both excellent. And it was fabulous to finally get to see SeaSaw again. And I got to go to two concerts in a row with my sweet bezzer, Kate (it likes to correct that word to buzzer, which always makes me laugh).
Davina playing live from her home in Minneapolis. And my favorite new DJ on Twitch, Juliette Angeli...playing classic jazz & swing.

Legally Meshel

Dress: Flounce Detail Spring Florals Dress by Taylor Dresses (size 24) via Gwynnie Bee
Teggings: Re/Dress, RIP
Sandals: Born
Earring: Wendy Baker
Necklace & Bracelet: Vintage
Photography: Super Boo & Me
Stats: 5'7" 47-45-65
What possessed me to closet this pastel ruffle dress?! I guess I like to try new things? It ran tts, I just didn't get the right size for me. There was no stretch except for the elastic waist. Super cute, extra feminine, just the right length, & a great v-neck line that you could wear anywhere.
I remembered this pastel wall & thought it would be a fitting backdrop for this outfit.
This is my first time wearing this necklace that Angie found at her house, but has no idea where it came from. It was the ideal accompaniment for this dress.
My make-up with this outfit included...NYX eyeliner in Gypsy Blue, Rose Burst & Candles eyeshadow by Lime Crime, Big Bang lip liner & lipstick, & This Color's Making Waves nail polish by OPI.
On this day, June 18th, I finally legally became Meshel. I've been spelling my name this way since 6th grade, but never changed it. Shane & I went to the courthouse shortly after turning 18 to get the paperwork for it...but it was $100, which seemed like a lot to me back in 1988. Shane went through with it & changed his last name. On our way to the gym...we stopped at this twice a year shoe sale this woman has in her front yard. I found one pair of Sanita sandals that I needed. I am trying to replace my shoe collection as not only have I gone down 1/2-1 size, but most of my shoes are stretched out.
These Fluevogs were on sale & I think I would have cried if I had never gotten the chance to see them in person...I know, extra dramatic, but they are stunning...leather, patent leather, & velvet...with gold accents *swoon*. These also come in a green color-way that I will also need to own. The dogs were extremely interested in my new Nuuly suitcase that arrived full of pretty dresses.
This $600 dress came to me brand new, but it is sadly way too big on me. I think I will closet it again in a few sizes down...or not. This mauve is not the most flattering color on me, but it's a fancy fun dress. We Freddie-sat while his parents went out to celebrate their anniversary. How cute it this...a boy & his dog. Freddie likes to "get" David & it's fun to watch. Later that night...The Cramps! And other 80s/90s tunes on Twitch.
The girlie & I at the first market back on the capitol square, yay! More chicks filling my evening with great music

The Return of Wasted: Rosé

Dress: Pom Pom Tie Maxi Dress by Bl-nk via Nuuly (use my link & we both get $10 off)
Teggings: Re/Dress (RIP)
Sandals: Array, thrifted
Earring & Bracelet: Wendy Baker
Necklace: Colleen Toland
Photography: Super Boo & Me
Stats: 5'7" 47-45-65
I was hesitant to closet this dress because of the tie-dye bit up top, but it was by a brand I liked & wanted more of, Bl-nk. I loved it! This dress was super sheer, but came with a solid black mini dress length slip (came to just above the side slits), but I knew it would ride up on me so I chose to wear black teggings as well. I adore a flower print on a black background & the waist tied with 2 pom poms (all the pom poms please!) on each side & 2 on the neckline. The fit was great, as was the length (but their choice to call it a maxi?)...my only issue was the pom poms all wanted to end up tangled up in one big ball...but they were well behaved when the dress was on.
Every time I wear these shoes, I consider throwing them out...they aren't in bad shape, just cheap...but they are the only pink shoes I have in a bit lighter color...I need to find a replacement.
Third outfit in a row wearing the same pink nail polish AND lipstick. It's a pink summer. This is my first time wearing this Colleen Toland necklace that was a gift from David.
My make-up with this outfit included...Urban Decay eyeliner in Mildew; UD eyeshadow in Chains; Glam Rapids, To, & Don't Know Her eyeshadow by Morphe x Jeffree Star; Big Bang lipliner & lipstick; & OPI nail polish in Can't Hear Myself Pink!
While Kate & Jason were on vacation...we plant-sat their plants in our front yard. DJs on Twitch. West side farmers' market with David, since Kate was out of town. I can't go places alone anymore since I need to be pushed in a wheelchair if there is too much walking.
Trying to capture the sparkles in my pink polish. We saw this cool Corvette while getting gas at Costco...I've become more aware of cars this year since falling in love with Challengers. Curried deviled eggs that I made for wine tasting. Making hard boiled eggs in the Instant Pot is life changing. Welcome back to Wasted: Rosé.
It was a lovely afternoon to sit around outside with lovely people. I missed this group during quarantine. It was fun to be out at a social gathering & I will never take this for granted again. We brought a delicious nearly orange sparkling rosé from Kate's cellar in our basement.
Sipping Super Boo & Lindsay taking notes. A wall I spied on our drive home...we stopped to check it out because we are planning to build a wall in front of our porch & we haven't liked any of the interlocking block options...natural stone looks so much nicer. Songs via DJs on Twitch.
