Buffalo Gospel // Derek Pritzl & The Gamble

Dress: Pricilla Dress in Rose Bouquet by Queen of Heartz (size 24) via GB Shop
Cardigan: Minx (size 2x), thrifted
Leggings: Torrid (size 4x)
Shoes: Bandolino, thrifted
Earring & Necklace: Wendy Baker
Bracelet: Vintage
Photography: Super Boo & Me
Stats: 5'7" 55-50-64
I last wore this dress 2 1/2 years ago in 2 sizes larger...I rented it from GB in my normal size of 28, but it ran really big...so when it came up for sale in the shop, I took a chance & went 2 sizes smaller...perfect. I like dresses with unexpected color combinations...& these deep burgundy & red flowers against the pastel blue background were lovely.
Showing off my completed farmers' market tattoo.
And the deep scooped back.
My make-up with this outfit included...Urban Decay eyeliner in Alkaline; UD eyeshadow in Alchemy, Bondage, & Sonic; Seashell eyeshadow from Violet Voss; Majella lipstick by NARS; & OPI nail polish in Marooned on Mammoth.
David found all these fun decorative appliqués for us to add to our wainscoting & other areas.

I wore this outfit to travel to The Shitty Barn again...this time to see Buffalo Gospel, with Derek Pritzl opening. And to eat tacos.
It was another chilly night at the barn...these bands shared some members. The standup bass player recognized me from Pokey LaFarge a few weeks back.
I also wore this dress to visit Angie & Freddie with David & eat dinner. Watching Freddie feed himself is pretty much the cutest thing ever...he just loves food.
My Boxy Charm box & some treasures off of eBay...LuLaRoe leggings & this Oscar de le Renta vintage necklace I've been stalking online for a while...waiting to find a good price...& matching earrings!
Pretty frilly tulips from Five Green Acres bought at farmers' market...the orange ones are called Sensual Touch.

My first dress from this brand, Queen of Heartz...I loved the unexpected color combination...the deep shades of red against the soft blue background. This dress runs a bit big...I'm wearing the 28 here & I suspect the 26 would be a better fit for me, maybe even a 24. This sleeveless dress with a deep scooped back is an all season dress...the ponte knit is a nice weight & the skirt has a lot of flare. I'm thrilled to have worn it in a cooler month so I could add a cardigan to bring out more of the darker color (or hide some of the pastel?)...also, to cover up the fact that I'm swimming in it.
A bit 50s housewife? A vintage bag to help up that vibe.
You can see the outline of the back scoop...also, there is a pointless zipper.
First indoor market of the season...blustery day. Afterwards I went to a studio warehouse sale where several artists were moving out of their workspace...I found a heavy rolling rack & a pair of elephant bookends.
The next day the girlie & I had tickets to see a play, 4,000 miles. I put the wrong time in my calendar...& since I had an hour to kill...I wandered through the holiday art fair they were having in the building (The Overture Center). This mixed media artist, Gena Ollendieck, was my favorite...
These hats by Hats-O-Fancy were whimsical & well made...look how lovely the fabrics are inside...I adore that attention to detail. I'm regretting not talking with the creator more since there doesn't appear to be anywhere online to purchase her beauties...but she's here in Madison...so I am sure to run into her again.

Elephant & Piggie!!! Apparently this is a children's book series...but as these are my two favorite animals (after dogs, of course)...I may have to go see this play.
There was an art exhibit of old movie posters & photographs of actors outside the playhouse. I want to see The Tigress & Husbands for Rent...don't those sound fun?! Also, that photo of Alice Brady, circa 1925...I want her entire outfit.

4,000 Miles...what a beautiful comedy/drama about connection...if you get a chance to see it, go.
After the show cocktails at Gib's.
My make-up with this outfit included...Kat von D eyeshadow in Rewind; Urban Decay eyeshadow in Gash, Alchemy, Junkshow, & Buzz; NYX (last shadow in the third row) The Brights palette; NYX Russian Red lipstick; Golshan lipstick by Nars; & We The Female nail polish by OPI.
