Passionfruit & Olive

Dress: Passionfruit Flocked Skater Dress by City Chic (size 24/XXL)
Jacket: Avenue (size 26/28)
Boots: Doc Martens via ModCloth
Necklace: Me
Earring & Bracelet: Wendy Baker
Pin: Vintage
Photography: Super Boo & Me
Stats: 5'7" 55-50-70
I've got several of these City Chic velvet flocked dresses...this is my first time wearing this one. This dress fits a bit snug for this size in City Chic, but it was the perfect fit for me. The cutout in back made me happy...I need a back tattoo though, right?! This green velvet jacket was begging me to wear it...so I went with passionfruit & olive.
The hook on this jacket was missing...so I grabbed a green pin right before we headed out the door.
It's boot season! These purple & gold brocade Docs tied with black ribbon are my favorite...stompy & girlie.
Once upon a time...I used to make jewelry...like this necklace...I miss that.
My make-up with this outfit included...Urban Decay eyeliner in Psychedelic Sister, Huda Beauty Amethyst Obsessions eyeshadow palette, UD eyeshadow in Mildew, Voodoo & Flashback lipstick from UD, & This Is A Slick Up nail polish by POP Nail Polish.
Bette Smith...live online for the second time in one week...amazing voice & performer. Me with one eye made up...& a bit of purple eyeliner on my lips...? I love this ghost sign they uncovered on Great Dane. Violet is always happy to see me when we come home...not that we leave the house much...on this day we left to take photos & pick up the car from our mechanic. Dogs are love.
Something to look forward to while dressed up...a video chat with Kate to kick off her birthday weekend...she, David, & I all shared the same bottle of wine. Luckily, Kate is younger & has a better memory than I do...she remembered that we had this particular wine at a seafood restaurant in Seattle in 2012 & I adored it so much she got on a waitlist to buy it. It was delicious. Also, how fun is Walla Walla Washington to say? Later that night...there was some DJ/VJ watching on Twitch.
This is one of our favorite farmers' market winter meals...pork chops with roasted sweet potatoes & baked apples. Carsie Blanton playing her 11th rent party for the boys in her band last Saturday...she was taking requests with donations & I asked her to play So Ferocious & wish Kate a happy birthday...& she did! It was adorable. During the last hour of the show I drove over to Kate's to drop off some masks. I left the house AND saw my girlie & didn't take a picture...?!
Saturday night on Twitch...I've had to find some other shows to listen to since my favorite, Planet Earth, has had a guest DJ that doesn't have the same taste in new wave music as I do.
The Lowest Pair playing live...dueling banjos. Palmer said, we're opening for Charlie Parr, but he doesn't know that...as soon as they were done...Char Parr played his last Sunday show in residency from First Avenue. Michael Waite playing from the UP.
Some lovely new earrings from Teri at EtXarte...
The birthday girlie on her birthday! Dropping off some skincare for her to try & this amazing mushroom dress by Eva Rose. It was the perfect birthday dress for Kate.

Argyle, Herringbone, & Plaid

Dress: Red Print Fit & Flare Dress by Renee C (size 3x) via Gwynnie Bee
Cardigan: Rafaella, thrifted
Leggings: LuLaRoe (TC2) via eBay
Shoes: Earth Shoes, thrifted
Earring: etXarte
Necklace: Me
Bracelet: Vintage
Photography: Super Boo & Me
Stats: 5'7" 55-50-64
I loved the vintage-y vibe of the raised pattern on this dress...however, it was true to size as it was tighter on me than it should have been, but it did not come in my size. I threw all the black & red patterns at it & wore it out of the house for a day. I rather like argyle, herringbone, & plaid together.
This cardigan is one of my favorite thrift store finds ever...so many argyle prints are only on the front, so it pleases me greatly that this is all over.
Plaid bracelet!
My make-up with this outfit included...Urban Decay eyeliner in Perversion, Violet Voss Oh Snap! palette, Dubonnet Amplified & Russian Red lipstick from MAC, & OPI nail polish in Pretty & Privileged.
Winner winner chicken dinner with David, Angie, & Fred. Celeriac fries roasted in the oven are spectacular!
I wore this dress to get the most relaxing facial...it was bliss. Then I browsed Sephora because they had a sale. I am enthralled by these Maison Margiela Replica scents...I was sent Whispers in the Library in my Play! box & I spritzed myself with Jazz Club in the store & I kept smelling my arm the rest of the day. Then the fun ended...I had an MRI on my right knee & it was one of the most painful experiences. I had to keep that knee straight, flat, & still for nearly an hour...they ended up tying it down. I've been having a lot of pain in my right knee...then I fell when we were visiting my parents & it got worse. Turns out...I have a torn meniscus in several locations & one of those flaps is pinched between my medial collateral ligament & my shin bone. It hurts. A lot. I have an appointment with a doctor the day after Christmas to discuss surgical & non-surgical options.
My spoils from Sephora. I got the Naked palette a while back from Ulta, but never posted a photo. David & I have been going to Princeton Club to help our knees...he's been doing his PT & I've mostly been walking or swimming in the pool.
Five new dresses from an Eloquii sale...& I finally took the plunge with Snag tights...10 pairs because when you buy that many it is 25% off. I got most of them in size G, with the exception of the navy & black...they were out of that size so I went with F. So far, I've only worn the black & they fit, but roll down...so I guess they don't truly fit. I will post about the larger size when I wear them. But so far, they are Muffin approved.

Trolley Dress

Dress: Theresa Dress in Trolley Print by Effie's Heart (size 4x) via Gwynnie Bee (use my link to get your first month free & help me earn GB credit)
Sandals: Dansko
Earring: Babil & Bijou, former etsy shop
Necklace: Me
Bracelets: Vintage
Photography: Super Boo & Me
Stats: 5'7" 55-50-64
This dress is so adorable...the trolley print & colors, lovely. Great cut & length. It's the first Effie's Heart dress I've had in this style...a true wrap dress...& with the skirt so full...I think this flew over my head at least once before I could grab it. I will probably eventual buy this when it heads to the shop or from the GB reseller gals. EH dresses are cotton & perfect throw it on & go summer dresses.
This dress looked better with the sash tied in back (mostly because I couldn't see it)...
The dress is the same color as my skin, but I was happy to be able to add a little color with my accessories...
To be honest...I am not exactly sure if I wore this dress to wine tasting with Kate...I can't remember that long ago. Some day I'll catch up. Aw, I miss you girlie (I don't think she's reading my blog on the trail). An all bubbles tasting.

Olive! Walking in the dog park after dropping Rye off at doggie daycare...she always looks so happy when she gets to romp around in a huge open space.
Fluevog was having a sale...most of their adorable shoes are heels I can't wear...but these nearly flats in orange & raspberry will get a lot of wear.
Gorgeous maxi dress from SWAK (another sale I couldn't resist)...I wear a 3x in this style & it's still available. Also some earrings from a favorite eBay seller.
I was going to wear this trolley dress to The Shitty Barn to see Margaret Glaspy...however, it was raining & I didn't really feel like leaving the house...so the girlie came to me with wine...she said this dress reminded her of Mr. Rogers...yay! We drank wine, chatted, & she sewed some patches on her backpack.
Savers 50% off sale for Memorial Weekend...Why are those shoes a 7 1/2 & not a 9 1/2?! So cute! David dressed as an Angry Bird...I thought we should buy the hat...but it stayed at the store.
 My first day of finds...
Tony's birthday celebration on a gorgeous day...
Savers sale, day II...the flats were too plain & I didn't feel steady walking in those cute green sandals. Sadness. I spied this cute dress in the parking lot...
These shoes are much improved without the bow...don't you think? My minimal finds on the second day...coral leggings to wear to bed, green & yellow floral purse, black & navy patent leather shoes, & a bikini top.
My make-up with this outfit included...Urban Decay eyeliner in Mildew, Moray eyeliner by Stila, Kat von D eyeshadow in Lemmy, UD eyeshadow in Burnout, NYX eyeshadow palette in Brights, Dozen Carnations lipstick from MAC, & OPI nail polish in Greenwich Green.

Poppin' Some Tags

Dress: Evelyn Dress in Bordeaux Estate by Igigi (size 26/28) via eBay
Cardigan (wool): Rafaella (vintage 80s), thrifted
Tights: Catherines
Boots: John Fluevog, vintage 90s
Earring: etXarte
Necklace: Me
Bracelet: Babil & Bijou, former etsy shop
Photography: Super Boo & Me
Stats: 5'7" 55-50-64
I am kinda in love with this outfit. I had this Igigi dress from GB back in autumn of 2015 & I remember thinking the lace bits up top were odd, but liked everything else. I got this dress from a 3 item Igigi lot on eBay...there was one dress I wanted, one I already owned, & this one. FYI, someone has this dress for sale in a 26/28 on eBay right now for only $21. I don't want to link to it because I don't know the seller...but if you happen to like this dress, it's a steal.
This cardigan is spectacular. I found it at Savers & it nearly didn't come home with me because it's mostly wool & there's a lot of grey areas...which is not a good color for me. But now that I've worn it...I just adore how the pattern is all over...so many designs on cardigans, especially argyle, are just on the front.
I wore this outfit to work, run errands, wait at the Social Security office (to change my name), farmers' market, and...Savers shopping & lunch with Super Boo.
How I clothing thrift...the first basket...I throw everything into the cart that is a possibility. Then I try it on, narrow it down...& show David what I've got...he helps me decide on the things I'm on the fence about. This first picture below is all stuff to wear to bed...the olive & pumpkin velvet leggings were an exciting find...they may be too fabulous to never leave the house.
Cardigans & tops...I've been searching for a grass green cardigan forever...
I just learned today that a fellow blogger, Janeane from Designing From My Closet, has started a thrift box service...for $100 she will send you some unique thrifted pieces that match your style. I think that is an awesome idea & I hope it really takes off for her.

I would love to find a fellow thrifter that is not my size who could shop for me in their area, & in turn...I would do the same. Hit me up if you're into that.
My make-up with this outfit included...NYX eyeliner in Brown & Jet Black; Anastasia eyeshadow in Primavera, Venetian Red, & Realgar; Anastasia Brow Wiz in Auburn; NXY Brow Pencil in Auburn; Cruella & Majella lipstick from Nars; & OPI nail polish in Friar, Friar, Pants on Fire.

Find the Find

Dress: Work the Angle Dress in Pink by Poppy & Bloom (size 5x) via Gwynnie Bee (use my link to get your first month free & help me earn GB credit)
Teggings: Re/Dress
Sandals: Dansko
Purse: Vintage 80s, remixed by Me
Earring: etXarte
Necklace: Me
Bracelets: Vintage
Photography: Super Boo & Me
Stats: 5'7" 55-50-64
I've worn a bunch of these Work the Angle dresses from Poppy & Bloom (did they go out of business?!), but this is the first one that's been available in a 5x. While the 4x fits me just fine...I like the extra length this adds. I could easily wear this size without teggings with no fear of flashing anyone. This was my favorite print of this style in a 4x...much tighter & shorter...which one do you like better?
This pink design seemed a bit 80s to me...so I dug out this Marilyn Monroe purse I made in 1989. Huge clock purses were all the rage at the mall...so I got one in black & another in pink. The clock thing wasn't for me...so I made little art installations in them...the black one got Louise Brooks...but I used that purse so much that the plastic front is probably too scratched up to use.
Savers keeps having 50% off sales...so I have to keep getting things #findthefind...more cardigans & comfy clothes to wear around the house/to bed...
 And shoes...
We can't seem to stop eating at Alchemy. Their burgers are just so good & they cook them *perfectly* every time...rare for David & medium rare for me.

My hair goddess, Gen, is on maternity leave...& I just couldn't wait any longer to get a haircut. She did a good job, but she's no Gen. Obviously these pics were taken *before* the snip...the graffiti wall is from Cha Cha's parking lot.
My make-up with this outfit included...Urban Decay eyeliner in Zero; Sephora eyeliner in Brown; Too Faced eyeshadow in Satin Sheets, Sprinkles, Cotton Candy, Dark Truffle, & Totally Fetch; Summer blush by NYX; Bite Beauty lipstick in Pomegranate; Sheer Anarchy lipstick by UD; & You're A Pisa Work nail polish by OPI.
