If You Turn Left Into the Co-op...

Dress: Perfect Wrap Maxi Dress in Tangerine Kiss by Leota (size 4L) via Gwynnie Bee (use my link to get your first month free & help me earn GB credit)
Sandals: Aerosoles, thrifted
Earring: etXarte
Necklace: Babil & Bijou, no longer online
Bracelets: Vintage, thrifted
Photography: Super Boo & Me
Stats: 5'7" 55-50-64
Look at that...still wearing sandals in November! This Leota maxi was a bit tight on me, but I still enjoyed wearing it on two different days. David said the design reminded him of lips & Angie mentioned the London Underground. Too much white kept me from adoring this dress. Great faux wrap in a lovely maxi length...& I loved the 3/4 sleeves...too long for summer, but perfect for fall or spring.
David & I refer to this background as the New Age wall.
This maxi would be longer...but my butt takes up some length.
NYX buy 1 get 1 free sale at Ulta...I usually go into the store, but decided to order online to get a better selection...
My last Scent Trunk box...I only liked a few of the perfumes they sent me, & none enough to actually wear out...so I cancelled it. BUT...underneath them is a gorgeous Lane Bryant shiny gold/black pleated skirt I got from Rita over on FabFatshion...I'm embarrassed to say...I had forgotten about this skirt...I *must* wear it during the holiday season.
I thought this bumper sticker was hilarious...it's totally anti-co-op mentality...where everyone is super nice & friendly. Willy Street Co-op is on a traffic-y street with a single lane going each way...so if you turn left into the parking lot...you are making a lot of cars wait behind you until you get an opening to go (usually a kind person stops & waves you on).
David & I had been talking about looking at houses again...there has been scary activity in our neighborhood (drug dealings at a gas station down the street...resulting in guns being fired) & we've outgrown our current house. So...we met with Angie & Toby's realtor for lunch & to look at two houses just for a conversation starter on what we were looking for...& ended up putting an offer in on one.
Dinner at Angie & Toby's house...delicious as always. And the most adorable dish licker EVER...Val enjoys pre-washing the plates for the dishwasher.
My make-up with this outfit included...NYX eyeliner in Deep Blue; Urban Decay eyeshadow in Heroine & Bobby Dazzle; Too Faced eyeshadow in Cotton Candy, Totally Fetch, & Sprinkles; NYX blush in Summer; Pomegranate lipstick by Bite Beauty; Sheer Anarchy lipstick by UD; & OPI nail polish in Give Me Space.

The Barmadillo

Dress: Abstract Print Jacquard Dress by tbagslosangeles (size 3x)
Leggings: Roamans (size 2x)
Socks: Sock Dreams
Boots: Dr. Martens
Earring: Vintage 80s
Bracelets: Vintage
Photography: Super Boo & Me
Stats: 5'7" 55-50-64
I wore this dress last year to see Pokey Lafarge...while I love this brand & these are *my* colors...I thought this dress had too much of a southwestern vibe to want to wear it more than once...but then it showed up in the GB Shop for $20 & I decided it had to have a home with me. I wore this dress 4 or 5 times...with different make-up & jewelry...but this is how I wore it on this day.
 Perfect autumnal outfit...
I wore this outfit while visiting Brian in Michigan, to run errands, to work, & to Octoberfest festivities with Kate, below. We had plans to see a band we'd seen at The Shitty Barn, Crane Wives, but the sound guy cancelled the show last minute because of rain (it had rained earlier, but wasn't raining...he was super crabby)...we said hi to one of the guys in the band & decided to try our luck at a different Octoberfest...the highlight of which was The Barmadillo...which we first encountered at Yum Yum Fest 2014. The drink we chose...Bavarian Collins, was delicious. We munched on a soft pretzel (Kate) & a corn dog (me)...& hung out for a bit, but the band playing during our time there was not worth sticking around for.
Stocking up on black tights from Catherines...& one brown pair...
I got an amazing deal on these lovely Docs from ModCloth.
Urban Decay had a 20% off sale...I was only going to get the Vice lipstick palette...but the 20th anniversary Vice eyeshadow was deeply discounted. And look at the adorable Vice lipstick sample pack they sent me!

All The Orange Dresses Do Not Have To Live At My House...

Dress: Faux Wrap Maxi Dress in Tangerine by Taylor Dresses (size 24) via Gwynnie Bee (use my link to get your first month free & help me earn GB credit)
Sandals: Aerosole, thrifted
Earring: etXarte
Necklace & Bracelet: Vintage (bracelet, garage sale)
Photography: Super Boo & Me
Stats: 5'7" 55-50-64
I kept this dress for over a week because I thought I was going to buy it...I had it in floral print last summer & ended up finding that dress online for ~$15 on a discount site (Myhabit, RIP). This dress had the same issue the floral dress had...a horrible top...I have an enormous amount of fashion tape holding the neckline closed...most of the time, it came unstuck & was a mess. The problem wasn't the typical gaping or too low-cut...there was just soooo much material up top that without constant fussing...looked like a waded up sheet. Why was I considering buying it?! Pattern mixing AND orange!!! But in the end...I was happy to send it back. Also, I hated that grey stripe along the bottom.
I need to get myself some navy sandals that I like...that was on my to do list this summer, but it never happened.
My July Sephora Play! box...I love getting this every month.

My other subscription box, Scent Trunk, I'm about to give up on. I think I might cancel after I receive the next one. I usually like 2 out of the 3 fragrances...but not enough to wear. My go-to scent for summer has been Angel by Thierry Mugler since 1994. I also enjoy mixing it up with various oil blends from Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab
I decided to check out Midwest Vintage Flea on my way to meet Kate for Saturday Farmers' Market...there was some cute stuff, but nothing in my size. I was hoping for interesting accessories. The Sunday Monona Market had Madison Area Ukulele Initiative playing fabulous pop hits for our produce browsing pleasure.
I've been making zucchini noodles a few times a week...this time with pesto made from basil in our garden. Zoodles are so much better than pasta.

I can't believe I never noticed this metal elephant in the backyard of a house I have driven by so many times. I LOVE him.
My farmers' market haul...along with my garage sale loot (sequin fabric, Bedazzler, & grape etched glasses). Kate thought it was funny I put the purple sequins in with my veggies & wanted me to take a picture when I got home...so I did...this is for the girlie.
My make-up with this outfit included...NYX eyeliner in Deep Blue, NYX Shadow Palette in Brights, Too Faced eyeshadow in White Chocolate & Champagne Truffle, MAC lipstick in Korean Candy, Blood Orange lipstick by Bite Beauty, & OPI nail polish in ?

Tip Top Tavern

Dress: Sweetheart Dress in Rose Quartz by Leota (size 4L) via Gwynnie Bee (use my link to get your first month free & help me earn GB credit)
Teggings: Re/Dress
Sandals: Dansko
Earring: etXarte
Necklace & Bracelet: Vintage
Photography: Super Boo & Me
Stats: 5'7" 55-50-64
This is the 3rd Leota Sweetheart dress I've had from GB...I wore it in a neon 80s print & pink python...this is my favorite...because ORANGE, the color of fun! & pink look lovely together...like a sunset (which is close to what it was doing when these photos were taken). I decided to play up the pink because I'm usually all about the orange...so predictable. These sweetheart dresses are fantastic, I just wish they were ~3 inches longer.
Angie & I had tickets to The Shitty Barn to see Seasaw with Paleface. About 45 minutes into the drive (Spring Green is an hour away), she says...I almost texted you to see if you wanted to go to dinner instead...& I was like...I nearly asked you if you were sure you wanted to go. So we turned around & took a little trip to The Shoe Box (a gigantic shoe store...we left with nothing), then back to Madison for dinner at Tip Top Tavern. I'd never been there & I like trying new places. Tin ceiling love. Their house Old-Fashioned, Rakish...made with bourbon, bitters, & ginger beer...yum! The food was good...but I'd stick with Alchemy for a burger...I'd try them again for brunch...especially on a lovely day when we could sit on their outside patio & visit with this adorable elephant.
June's Scent Trunk offerings. Blood Sweat Tears was my favorite...it takes me to a man's study in Victorian England...comforting. I would also wear Fleur d'Aspiration on a hot summer day. As delightful as it sounds...Blood Orange Chocolat did not work for me...chocolate scents always smell plastic on my skin.
David thought the wall gave me Rupaul Drag Race hair...I wouldn't mind having hair that looked like fire...
My make-up with this outfit included...Urban Decay eyeliner in Zero, Sephora eyeliner in Brown, several pink & orange shadows from NYX eyeshadow palette in Brights, Quince lipstick by Bite Beauty, & OPI nail polish in You're A Pisa Work.

NO/NO & GGOOLLDD

Dress: Smocked Waist Printed Chiffon Dress by City Chic (size XXL) via Gwynnie Bee (use my link to get your first month free & help me earn GB credit)
Sandals: Born
Earring & Necklace: Wendy Baker
Photography: Super Boo & Me
Stats: 5'7" 55-50-64
I thought this dress was so darling just out of the box...the color is a gorgeous orangey red with two-tone purple flowers...stunning...the chiffon fabric had fabulous feminine flutter & I felt pretty wearing it. However...the smocking...I was thrilled there was smocking because this fabric has no stretch...but...it swoops under the bust & up the middle...this line, no matter how well-endowed you are or how supportive your bra is...creates the illusion of droopy boobs...& I don't want droopy boobs. I felt this effect was even worse on me as I am only a 46DD, which is itty bitty for my size, & did not come close to filling out the cups sewn in this dress.
My third Scent Trunk delivery...I fear my initial thrill is wearing off. Evening Edged in Gold is the only scent here I sort of like...as in I wouldn't mind smelling it on someone sitting next to me, but it's not my type of fragrance...too floral. I'd probably adore New York 1955 if they were to take out the cotton candy smell as I like all of the other notes.
Out to The Shitty Barn with Angie & Toby. The opening band, NO/NO, were a fun electro-poppy group...both Toby & I bought their record.
GGOOLLDD turned out to be a sorority party band with an egocentric singer. I mean, I guess they were also a synth pop band (with a bit of Stevie Nicks thrown in), but for a much younger crowd.
My make-up with this outfit included...Kat von D eyeshadow in Echo & Dark Wave, Buttercupcake eyeshadow by Sugarpill, Bite Beauty lipstick in Blood Orange, NYX Pro Lip Cream Palette in The Reds, & Apple of My Eye nail polish by OPI.

UW Bellydance Show & Outdoor Farmers' Market = Spring

Dress: Splash Medley Fit & Flare Dress by London Times (size 24) via Gwynnie Bee, Try Then Buy (use my link to get your first month free & help me earn GB credit)
Teggings: Re/Dress
Sandals: Born, thrifted
Earring: etXarte
Necklace & Bracelet: Wendy Baker
Photography: Super Boo, Me, Stranger
Stats: 5'7" 55-50-64
I wore this outfit to the last day of film fest & on the following Saturday. I bought this dress, despite it being too modern for me...I prefer prints that look like something & not graffiti splashes...but I couldn't resist ALL THAT COLOR! This brand runs a bit big, so their size 24 is a good fit for me. I liked the gathering around the keyhole neckline & at just below knee length on me, I will be able to wear this without teggings over the summer without fear of flashing anyone.
Last day of film fest! A friendly stranger in line offered to take our picture.
My first real month of Scent Trunk (last month was the free trial). Fruits of the Tree of Knowledge & Briar Rose are both delightful summer fragrances...I HATED Coconut Milk...because anything with coconut in it smells like suntan lotion to me...but actually, most people would probably think it's lovely.
My first outdoor market of the season...we had skipped the previous week due to film fest. Soooo pretty. There were ramps, which always signal spring to me, & the last of the overwintered (extra sweet) spinach.
UW Spring Bellydance Show...sooo many gorgeous costumes...but no photography allowed (thanks people who think they need their flash even though they are too far away for it to help). Sahira was their special guest & her orange ombre sparkling outfit was magnificent (I nabbed this online, however, it looked far more stunning when she was dancing & not against a white background). I snuck a picture of Mona's fantastic peacock outfit during the closing ceremony. I wish I could find some action shots of this show as it was truly the most amazing costumes they've ever had. Moon over the fountain after the show was also prettier in person.
My make-up with this outfit included...NYX eyeliner in Green Shimmer & Pretty Violet, Sugarpill eyeshadow in Love+, Urban Decay eyeshadow in Freak & Thrash, UD lipstick in F-Bomb, & You Make Me Vroom nail polish by OPI.
