Super cute comfy dress...I wish the mermaid pattern wasn't so subtle. Otherwise, I loved it. Great fit & pockets. I was so smitten with this dress that I wore it 3 days in a row before sending it back.
At first I didn't like the red faux buttons...but they grew on me & added color that the dress desperately needed.
This was my first time wearing this vintage bracelet I found on Etsy.
My make-up with this outfit included...NYX eyeliner in Oxblood, Sugarpill Cosmetics eyeshadow in Love+, Urban Decay Naked Cherry eyeshadow palette, Russian Red lipstick by MAC, & Friar, Friar, Pants on Fire! nail polish from OPI.
It was a lovely Saturday for a picnic at American Players Theatre with David, Kate, & Angie. I made us a shrimp wrap with cucumber watermelon relish & a curried mayo...YUM! I gave myself an hour to make this after farmers' market...it took over an hour with both David & I working the entire time. Kate brought beautiful bubbles.
Blueberry Butter Cake & fresh blueberries, just in season, with cream, yum! I adore Tennessee Williams, so this is the play I was most looking forward to this season, A Lovely Sunday for Creve Coeur. It was delightful.
The next day, David & I perused the offerings at this years Art Fair on the Square...so many splendidly captivating pieces...every booth that drew me in felt like entering a wardrobe that swept me away to a magical world...oh, so briefly.
Of course I had to include my favorite dress of the day, below.
This lovely work of art was done by Michelle McDowell Smith...the gargoyle really spoke to me...he seemed like the keeper of secrets...so, a print of this piece came home with us.
David & I were both enthralled with the metal sculptures of John, from Center Ground Studios. We talked with him for quite a while & we're going to visit his studio in Mount Horeb some time soon. This sunflower also caught my eye, as did this vintage alligator handbag...
Monday...work & then a dinner & Brosé date on the girlie's lawn...surrounded by tall majestic trees...what a delightful Monday treat this was.
