This knit dress was a comfortable wear...& I adored the warmness of the brown...bordering on pumpkin. It's not my favorite style of dress...more of a sheath, but it was fine for a wear...especially since I was so enamored of the leopard print. There were two side slits...a trend that seems to be resurrecting itself that I'm not a fan of.

We've been having an extraordinary amount of extremely windy days lately...which makes me appreciate my longer pandemic hair...I like the way it blows around. Pumpkin spice necklace, lips, & nails.

Some new flowers for my neck from Belmonili ...

Farmers' market chicken vegetable soup on an autumn day. New vintage Sobral earrings from eBay. Yummy pumpkin body spray from a new to me shop, Rita's House of Juju...which I impulse bought after seeing a Facebook friend's post. I am in love with all the pumpkin spice scents that come around this time of year.

While I adored the colors & stripes in this dress, it was difficult to not look at this & think...robe. It was a lovely robe...& my first dress from my Eloquii Unlimited box. The fabric was incredibly slippery, so I had to keep retying the belt...which was important as it was a true wrap dress/robe. It was fun to wear once, but I wouldn't want to own it.

Rock Lobster

This dress was the perfect orangey red color...& the print was cute, but how often do I really want to wear a lobster dress? I would have totally bought it if I lived in Maine. I've only had this style of dress one other time, & oh! I wish I had bought that one. While most Effie's Heart dresses have pockets, this one does not...despite having an extra full skirt. The fit & length on this were great. 

I look best in warm colors, although since joining GB I wear a lot of cool tones. 

The color & ridges in this necklace & earring set were just right for the lobsters on the dress...don't you agree? I found this set while searching for red necklaces on Etsy...there are SO many different shades of red & I had a need for more. The first necklace like this I found was $500 for the necklace only...but I managed to find this Oscar de la Renta set by patiently waiting until another came along that was only $100...& included earrings.

There is an artist from my hometown, Marquette, that posts his paintings on a Marquette Facebook group I am on...I always find them lovely to look at, but none of them spoke to me until I saw this one. Lake Superior painted on top of a vintage map...this is home. 

My friend Enid posted this fabulous sticker she got for voting & I was full of envy...so she sent it to me...it's so much cooler than the boring "I Voted" sticker that came with my ballot. Leaving farmers' market, BLT wrap made with market ingredients, & Buffalo Gospel playing live at Blue Ox in Eau Claire. 

More Blue Ox bands...Lindsay Lou & Yonder Mountain String Band. 

There are so many wonderful bands that go live online during the weekends...the weekly concert by Glenn Crytzer & members of his orchestra...& Carsie Blanton doing her monthly rent party for the boys in her band. 

Music from a mountain top in the U.P....Michael Waite is joined by Kerry Yost...& a brand new to me band, Heart & Pine, playing at Midland Theatre in Ohio.

Such a cute retro dress...I loved the cut & color. It was on the small side...my average sized boobs had the buttons straining a bit, but otherwise, the fit was good. 

In looking at these photos...I wish I had worn tights & shoes with this dress instead of sandals...but it was the last of the sandal weather & I'm clinging to that.

This outfit was crying out for a cat eye...

One of my favorite Wisconsin bands, Them Coulee Boys, made a shirt I *had* to buy because they list 'Both Michigans' as part of their lost tour of 2020...& I'm from both Michigans. I wish they would have had someone edit this for them before going to print...it does bother me that they left out a the & an apostrophe. Glenn Crytzer & his band playing in the alleyway outside his apartment...& a lovely Marion Godart bracelet from Russia. 

The Green Note live...more newly discovered bands to add to my list. And making our closet mirror more colorful (with foils) & sparkly (with glitter)...

Purple Passion

I am in love with this dress...it is most definitely one of my favorite dresses I've ever gotten from GB. The shade of purple was spectacular...but it was the fit that really got me. If I had a pattern for this dress...I'd make it over & over again. Perfection...I wouldn't change a thing (well, perhaps it could have been a few inches longer).

This was our first visit to Olbrich Gardens this year...it was so lovely. And how perfect was this backdrop of two different blackish purple plants?! I need to find out what the taller ones were & if I could keep them alive at home (doubtful). After we took pictures...we sat on this new retaining wall & finished reading RBG's obituary in NYT. 

So, none of this jewelry really goes together...but I liked it all anyway...

My monthly Boxy Charm, Glam Vibes Only. Tracey painting a big porch pot. And my latest order from Artistic Painting Studio...foil to use on our closet mirror & resin to make a glitter top on my vanity.

My first Pop Polish order...& David unpacked all the boxes of Kate's wine & made more racks for the Bomb Cellar..these are two layers thick...over 1,000 bottles of wine. Too bad we only drink about once a month. 

The final, (surprise!) girlie visit before her surgery...she sent me the most hilarious before shot of her boobs, but I guess I can't share it here. 

I was in *desperate* need of more lipsticks...

When this dress first appeared on Gwynnie Bee, I thought it was so pretty...not so much on me...waaaay too short in front & the fit was off all over. I added a skirt, but really...I shouldn't have bothered. Why wear clothes that don't make you feel pretty?! David said I looked like a Rose Bowl Float because of all the layers. 

Nope.

At least I really liked my make-up on this day...

Poor Rye is always climbing over to my office chair...save me from Violet! She is constantly licking him. Isn't this railroad track pretty with all the painted rocks?? It was posted on a neighborhood Facebook page I'm on & I snapped a photo so I'd remember where it was & perhaps use it to take outfit photos. I liked my make-up & tried to take a picture, but I suck at selfies...so here is the inside of my nose...

Angie & Freddie came over to visit us! He ate dinner, along with some raspberries I got from my favorite raspberry farmer...then he & David played peek-a-boo & practiced their silly walks around the yard. 

Sean Hayes going live with his pianist. And...I decided to join Eloquii Unlimited (run by GB) since the first month is free. Why not? Dressing up once or twice a week to go nowhere is just about the only fun I have left.
