I nearly didn't wear this dress because it was tighter than I wanted it to be...but I decided to give it a go for a few hours at work. The bright colors popping out from the black were welcome during this cold long winter. This dress fit like a size 24 (which it was), but Taylor Dresses are typically more generously cut & are just right for my size 26/28 body...this one was not. Despite the dress being too tight for me, I really enjoyed the outfit I put together...especially wearing these red Docs for the first time. I bought them years ago, new off eBay...then they got lost in the old house. But...I finally cut the tags off & took them out. Shiny.
I wore this dress to work & for photos at the library (because, cold!)...then I went home & mailed it back to Gwynnie Bee.
My make-up with this outfit included...Urban Decay eyeliner in Abyss; Too Faced eyeshadow in Creme Brûlée, Champagne Truffle, & Marzipan; The red eyeshadow in the Huda Beauty Electric Obsessions palette; Perfect Red lipstick by NYX; & You Make Me Vroom nail polish from OPI.
How was the break-in on these? I bought the flip-sequin ones, have worn them once, was forced into Crocs for a week because the blister popped when I was taking them off, and now I want to wear them but I fear the consequences. Most of my other Docs haven't been too awful....
ReplyDeleteLove it when the tights are just right for the dress :)
I've never had a problem breaking in Docs, so it was all good for me! I'm nearly the only one though. Good luck!
