My goal to look like grandma's sofa circa 1967, achieved. I'm not sure why that's not usually a good thing...for me, it's preferred. Lovely end of summer dress, the fit was spot on in every way. The armholes weren't too huge & I liked the scoop neck both in front & back. The only thing that kept me from buying this beauty was that it had slight pilling. I'll look for it when it gets retired. Citron & orange...what could be better?! That splash of purple in the wall really sets this color combo off. I'm excited to use this graffiti wall again...the last several art installations here have been drab & boring...but these colors are fab.
No sunscreen with this low scoop neck dress & sitting outside = sunburn.
My make-up with this outfit included...Urban Decay eyeliner in Mildew, UD eyeshadow in Jones & Goldmine, Huda Electric Obsessions palette (the orange in the top left corner), Electric Warrior eyeshadow by Kat von D, Dozen Carnations & Habanero lipstick from MAC, & OPI nail polish in Orange You Going to the Game?
I wore this dress the Sunday of Labor Day weekend to shop our north side farmers' market & co-op...then head on over to Angie & Toby's bald puppy shower....
Don't Buy Food From Strangers.
Pizza baked in Betsy & Danny's outdoor brick oven...yum!!!This sage pesto with gobs of fresh mozzarella & tomatoes was my favorite. Chickens! These ladies were loud...also, they lay the eggs we eat every week. Blind tasting baby food...I also brought along nipples so we could bob for nipples...but one game was enough. The picture potential for bobbing for nipples would be fantastic though...so that has to happen at some point.
Angie brought books for the baby for us to sign...both Kate & I signed Ms. Rubinstein's Beauty...it is a lovely book. My other favorite book of the day was about a dog, George, that Kate T. got for the wee one, which Angie promptly read to us.
After the shower, Kate & I went over to our old house to drop something off & so she could see the progress...it has all been painted boring white & grey.
I also wore this dress on another day to see a band with the girlie. A new Effie's Heart dress from the GB resellers & 2 new necklaces. Salmon with fennel, lemons, & oranges for dinner...then off to High Noon for the release party of Seasaw's new album, Big Dogs. Where there were cute dogs from Underground Pet Rescue.
There were two opening bands. Unfortunately. The second band was so bad that Kate (who rarely says anything bad about anything) turned to me & said, is this a joke?
BUT...during the dreadful opening bands...I played Ms. Pac-Man! Then Seasaw came out & were spectacular. These girls rock.
