Fire! Take Two

Dress: Bishop Sleeve Wrap Dress in Caramel by Eloquii (size 28) via Eloquii Unlimited
Tights: We Love Colors in Olive Green
Shoes: J.J.'s (vintage), thrifted
Earring: eBay
Necklace: Heidi Daus via Ebay
Bracelet: Vintage
Photography: Super Boo, Kate, & Me
Stats: 5'7" 55-50-70
This dress was the most gorgeous color of pumpkin spice...perfect for an autumn day. I adored the sleeves on this true wrap dress, as well as the hi lo ruffled hem. The fit was good, however the satin fabric was incredibly slippery & I had to re-tie the belt several times as it kept getting loose...it was also easily wrinkled & I don't iron.
I was happy we used this backdrop at Olbrich, as the next time we went there...it was all torn down & a few tiny twigs of trees were planted there instead.
These vintage shoes I found at Savers were ideal for this outfit...they were brown, caramel, & a bit of olive. I stalked this Heidi Daus sunflower necklace for months on eBay, waiting for a good price...this is my first wearing of it.
My make-up with this outfit included...Urban Decay eyeliner in Roach & Starfire; UD eyeshadow in Mildew, Dirty Talk, & Ounce; Gothica lipstick by Kat von D; & Copper Pot nail polish from Sinful Colors.
Another new to me musical artist from The Ark, Crystal Bowersox...who was lovely. And, Fire! With Kate & Jason.
Kate showing off her newly smaller boobed figure & Jason showing off his Batsquatch beer.
David reprised his shiitake & shallots, plus mini bell peppers cooked over the fire. Delicious! It was chilly, but the fire was warm & it was good to spend time with people we like. This is most likely the final time I will see Kate in person until next year. Oh, 2020.

Fire!

Dress: Maxi Dress with Slit in Multiflora by Eloquii (size 28) via Eloquii Unlimited
Tights: Snag
Shoes: Nine West
Earring: etXarte
Necklace: Jael Designs
Bracelet: Vintage
Photography: Super Boo & Me
Stats: 5'7" 55-50-70
I liked this green maxi...the length & fit were spot on. There was no stretch in this fabric, but there was elastic in the waist. The ruffle on the front & on the sleeves were a great feature for a one time wear rental dress. The high front slit was a bit sexy, but I think this dress could still be worn to work...especially if you like to overdress, like me. The only downside to this maxi was the neck tie...Eloquii is rrrrreeeaaalllly into neck ties...I think they get in the way of necklaces & are rather pointless.
Showing off some leg in the breeze.
I loved all the mustard bits in the flowers...although from a distance, the mustard shoes probably didn't make much sense. This is the first wearing of both the necklace & bracelet.
My make-up with this outfit included...Urban Decay eyeliner in Loaded, Wanderlust & Radio eyeshadow from UD, Gilt Trip & Access eyeshadow by Morphe, Sugarpill Cosmetics liquid lip color in Pumpkin Spice, & Candle Slick nail polish by POP.
Angie, Toby, & Freddie came over for...Fire! Our first fire in our fire pit. Not as fancy as fires past, but still a fun time. My favorite part was how delicious both the mushrooms & bell peppers were made over the flames...everything tastes better with smoke.
Toby started the pie iron on fire...it turns out when you get the metal red hot...then try to prep it with butter for the next grilled cheese...butter goes up in flames. As good as farmers' market meat is...I need to pick up some Oscar Meyer wieners next year. Sometimes you just want traditional. The Glenn Crytzer Orchestra/Quartet plays their weekly Sunday show...with the addition of their lovely singer, Hannah Gill. David & I opened up a bottle of Kate's wine to enjoy with the last raspberries of the season. It was delightful! And tasted of raspberries. Sorry, girlie. Davina doing a short live video to promote their upcoming concert. And a new to me band playing on The Ark's page, Damn Tall Buildings.

Cheetah Cabernet

Dress: Cheetah Cabernet Mindy Midi Dress by Leota (size 4L) via Gwynnie Bee
Tights: Snag
Shoes: Circus by Sam Edelman via Ebay
Earring: etXarte
Necklace: former Etsy shop
Bracelets: Vintage
Photography: Super Boo & Me
Stats: 5'7" 55-50-64
It was an absolute pleasure to wear this burgundy leopard print frock. The fit & length were just right & I wouldn't have changed a thing about this dress. Cheetah cabernet sounds like a terrible wine though, right?
I own a faux wrap dress in this fabric that I bought earlier this year...& look how much shorter my hair was!
I laughed when I saw I wore pretty much all the same jewelry, but at least I've got on different shoes with this dress.
My make-up with this outfit included...Urban Decay eyeliner in Alkaline, Sugarpill Cosmetics eyeshadow in Goldilux, Destroyer & Rewind eyeshadow by Kat von D, Knock Out lipstick from NYX, & Colors by Llarowe nail polish in Show Me the Love!
I've been watching concerts from The Ark in Ann Arbor since my high school friend Marsha told me about them. I've discovered a bunch of new music that I like...however, this Judy Banker Band was the first dud for me...I stuck with them for several songs, but just couldn't get into her voice. My monthly Boxy Charm came in the mail...along with some Nightmare Before Christmas make-up bags that I obviously needed.
David & a helper put 3 stone entry areas in front of the doors on his workshop...
Harmonious Wail & Sean Hayes going live on a Friday night.

Mustard is the Color of the Day

Dress: Keyhole Fit & Flare Dress in Golden Asterid by Eloquii (size 28) via Eloquii Unlimited
Leggings: LuLaRoe via Ebay
Shoes: Xhilaration, thrifted
Earring & Bracelet: Wendy Baker
Photography: Super Boo & Me
Stats: 5'7" 55-50-64
Oh! This mustard dress is thee most gorgeous color! And so autumnal...I match the trees. The fit seemed awkward on me...it was too long & didn't really lay right. I adored the sleeves though...& the v-neck in back.
I think perhaps the length would have seemed to flow better had I worn tights instead of leggings...I think when less legging is showing, it cuts off my legs & makes them seem shorter...or something? But I wanted to add more color.
The shoes were a spot on match.
My make-up with this outfit included...Urban Decay eyeliner in Abyss; 2012, Rule Breaker, & Poppin Bottles eyeshadow by Melt Cosmetics; Sugarpill Cosmetics liquid lip color in Treat; Seether Vice Special Effects Lip Top Coat by UD; & Pop nail polish in Candle Slick.
I wore this dress to pick up my glasses...we've had record high COVID-19 cases in Wisconsin (over 3,000 new cases a day for over a week now), so they told me they'd bring them out to me in my car. Drive-thru glasses. Then I went to Tuesday market to pick up the last of the raspberries for the year...& on to the beauty supply for stuff to put in my hair.
Davina went live for a few songs to promote an upcoming concert. And more new to me artists on Virtually Green Note.
I was so taken with the first two earring holders I purchased from Holly, that I added another to my collection...because I have a lot of earrings. A video chat with my girlie! And Michael Waite playing his last outdoor session on the mountain in the U.P.

Enchanted Forest

Dress: Tie Neck Midi Dress in Floral Fantasy by Eloquii (size 28) via Eloquii Unlimited
Tights: We Love Colors in Spruce Green
Shoes: Aldo, thrifted
Earring: Wendy Baker
Necklace: Belmonili
Bracelet: Vintage
Photography: Super Boo & Me
Stats: 5'7" 55-50-64
I am completely smitten with the colors & print of this fabric! If I could find it to buy, I would...& make an adorable retro dress from it. This dress was mostly great, but I really dislike ties at the neck...they get in the way of necklaces, so...I don't see the point. Otherwise...the fit & length were spot on.
Another blustery day. How perfect are these shoes with this dress?! I picked these up from Savers years ago & this was my first time wearing them...I just knew the perfect outfit would come along. Someday.
This is also the first wearing of this necklace...& perhaps the earring too.
My make-up with this outfit included...Urban Decay eyeliner in Junkie, UD eyeshadow in Radio, Gina & Egypt eyeshadow from Kat von D, MAC Retro Matte Liquid Lipcolour in Coral Plated, & The "It" Color nail polish by OPI.
I'm in a multichrome (mostly nail polish) group on Facebook & when this showed up (the stamping color)...I NEEDED it. With help from the group, I ordered it from Russia. And it finally came...along with some stamping plates. The polish is from El Corazon...Kaleidoscope in Enchanted Forest. I also ordered some iron-on patches with my name on them...why? Shrug. And a movie I backed years ago on Kickstarter, made by an ex-boyfriend's (from high school) wife...arrived in the mail. And a discontinued Urban Decay eyeliner bought off eBay, 1999...because someone mentioned it in a comment on Instagram...& I'm suggestible.

Daydream Stripe

Dress: Twist Front Dress in Daydream Stripe by Eloquii (size 28) via Eloquii Unlimited
Tights: We Love Colors in Yellow
Shoes: Ann Taylor Loft, thrifted
All Jewelry: Vintage
Photography: Super Boo & Me
Stats: 5'7" 55-50-64
I was totally in love with the colorful stripes in this dress. However, it was much more bodycon than I typically wear...which I would have been fine with if the stripes were laying more straightly on my body. But it was real life & things shift. I liked this dress more than I thought I would...I especially enjoyed the twist at the waist & the looseness of the top contrasted with the tightness of the bottom.
So many colors to choose from...but of course I picked my two favorites of the bunch, yellow & green, to highlight.
I adore my stripe-y bracelets & just now realized I had both earrings & a necklace with stripes that I could have worn instead. I never take enough time picking out my accessories...too impatient.
My make-up with this outfit included...Urban Decay eyeliner in Electric Empire, Violet Voss Limeade eyeshadow palette, Aria liquid lipstick from Stila, & Forever Family nail polish by Essie.
Farmers' market drive home, Vote For The Good Man. How hard is it? Our favorite mushroom farmers gifted both Kate & I with homemade grape jelly, so sweet! And some new indie nail polishes.
It was the weekend...so there were a lot of online concerts to watch...including a new to me band, The Black Feathers. Lula Wiles plays at Caffe Lena, I've seen them a few times live.
Glenn Crytzer & some members of his orchestra. And Bret Helm from Audra was back after not playing for 3 months...it was a bit of a withdrawal after he played every Sunday for quite a while...so it was lovely to spend a Sunday afternoon with him again.
And later that day...we went over to Angie's to pick up the sewing machine she fixed for me...I am so grateful...who knows how long I would have waited for a discontinued part before giving up? Freddie enjoying the raspberries I brought...I love how much he loves raspberries. Our neighbors tree...only a week later & it is nearly all red now.
