Cardigan: Charter School Cardigan by ModCloth (size 4x)
Tights: We Love Colors in Rust
Shoes: Yoki via ModCloth
All Jewelry: Vintage

I was instantly smitten with the colors & patterns in this stunning autumnal dress...it is so ME. The problem when I tried it on...the lining comes just past my belly...making the dress see-thru. Luckily, I've run into this problem before & bought a full length & half slip last year from Catherines...issue solved. Otherwise, this dress was lovely in every way...all these patterns mixed together, the longer length & the amazing pleats in the skirt *swoon*.
These photos were taken just 2 weeks ago...before we got a foot of snow, before USPS & even bars were closed in Wisconsin because of severe cold...it was -28 without windchill when I woke up this morning. But by this weekend it will be 70° warmer.
So, what I'm saying is...I got this dress just at the right time...I couldn't wear those shoes in the snow. Totally by coincidence...I didn't even notice until I was writing this blog post...the shoes & cardigan are also from ModCloth, several years back.
My make-up with this outfit included...Urban Decay eyeliner in Mildew, Lemmy & Analogue eyeshadow by Kat von D, Too Faced eyeshadow in Warm & Toasty, NYX lipliner in Pumpkin, Heat lipstick from UD, & OPI nail polish in Red Hot Holiday.
I first wore this dress to work & erranding with David...then outfit photos were taken. I adored these two cute outfits in the window of Anthropologie...on our way to Sur la Table for David to try out knives...& pizza at Cafe Porta Alba.
This lovely lady sells marvelous vintage jewelry on Etsy & eBay...I've gotten some fun Selro stuff from her in the past...so I've naturally been stalking her online store...I noticed she was having a 20% off sale, plus she kindly gave me a special price for buying all of this at once...all the pretties shall belong to me.
Adorable Freddy! I didn't wear this dress to visit him & Angie, but I have to document the cute. We also had dinner.
I wore this dress a second time to farmers' market & brunch with the purple Kate. Look at how sweet she is (above)...it had just snowed a bunch, so she was stomping down a path so I could walk (I was wearing boots & not the shoes in the pictures) into the restaurant. Where she made a sad face while pushing away my delicious cheese curds...Oh, & drinking one of my favorite drinks, Corpse Reviver...Why are there no pictures of meee?
I was too hungry to remember to document my Eggs Benedict while still intact. It was tasty. The girlie mood...
ModCloth had a 40% off clearance sale while I had this dress...& it was in the sale for only $26! I immediately bought it. So, I had to get a few more things for free shipping...

The whole is greater than the sum of its parts.

Dress: Floral Red Scuba Fit & Flare Dress by Gabby Skye (size 24) via Gwynnie Bee (use my link to get your first month free & help me earn GB credit)
Cardigan: Croft & Barrow, thrifted
Leggings: Torrid (size 4x)
Tights: We Love Colors
Shoes: Nine West, thrifted
Earring: etXarte
Necklace: Wendy Baker
Bracelets: Vintage
Photography: Super Boo & Me
Stats: 5'7" 55-50-64
This dress was fabulous...I wore it several times & got more compliments than I've gotten in a long time. Everywhere I went, strangers stopped to tell me how much they liked my outfit. Underneath my cardigan, this dress is sleeveless & has a low v-neck back, so it would be lovely without any covering in spring or fall. The fit & length were spot on, & there was lots of twirl to the skirt. I'll buy this from the shop or GB resellers if I see it. I don't need another floral dress, but I loved the combination of both red & burgundy in the pattern.
 Twirling in the wind...
Often I will get a dress I like well enough from GB, like this one...but how I style it is what makes me fall in love with the outfit. The whole is greater than the sum of its parts.
My make-up with this outfit included...Urban Decay eyeliner in Alkaline; UD eyeshadow in Bang Bang, Turn On, Young Love, Alchemy, & Bondage; Perfect Red lipstick from NYX; & Black Metal Dahlia nail polish from Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics.
Adorable baby...we had dinner with Angie, but food photos aren't as cute as this little guy...
We went to Deconstruction Inc to look for a bunch of mismatched old drawer pulls, which we found...but we also left with those fabulous oak leaves & acorn metal bits & this awesome table for the middle of my office (so I can hang a chandelier over it). We did not buy those gorgeous wooden panels, but they were just so beautiful.
We also found a heating grate for the hallway. After shopping, we picked up some tasty ribs to bring home for dinner...& these magnificent Wendy-made fingerless gloves were waiting for me.

I was so excited by this outfit I had put together...then I tried the dress on...too tight, boo. I wore it just for a few hours at work & for a bit of erranding & lunch with my sweetie. The top of this has stretch, but the bottom does not...I should know better by now, I need to size up to a 30 in eShakti chiffon fabric. I adored the color combination...even with all that white thrown in. I can't really speak to the fit as this was ill fitting for me in the pocket/hip area, but the length was good.
This is such an interesting color combination...so of course I was smitten. I'd really like to take the colors that most sparked joy & put together an outfit...burgundy, hunter green, teal, & mauve.
Once upon a time, green was my favorite color...so I have a lot of jewelry in that shade that doesn't get worn much. It was fun to wear it out...
My make-up with this outfit included...Urban Decay eyeliner in Mars; UD eyeshadow in Young Love, Bang Bang, & Bondage; Cherry Skies Liquid Suede lipstick by NYX; & Essie nail polish in Shearling Darling.
After work, David & I had Indian buffet for lunch...shocking, right. Alternate jewelry I had been considering for this outfit. And...a fabulous mail day! New single earrings from Teri & my Torrid sale haul.
January's Boxy Charm box...it's like they know me...check out that orange & gold glittery eyeshadow palette! Also, Treat (as in Trick or Treat) liquid lip color from Sugarpill.
Sock Dreams sale socks...& 2 somethings old & 2 somethings new. Back when I thought I was going to wear that plaid sequined Eloquii dress for NYE...I bought these sparkly Doc Martens to wear with it...& I kept this leopard coat that came with the dress, but I never posted photos of either of them. And...a recent Eloquii order...I seem to have a thing for leopard print & shiny.

NYE at Estrellón

Dress: Autumn Helena Maxi Dress by City Chic (size XXL/24)
Shawl: Mossimo
Socks: Sock Dreams
Shoes: Mossimo, thrifted
Earring, Necklace, & Bracelet: Vintage
Photography: Super Boo, Kate, & Me
Stats: 5'7" 55-50-64
We got our first snow storm of the year on NYE...just as we were picking Kate up for photos outside. Since that wasn't possible...we decided to snap some shots in the Ovation lobby that connects to our dinner destination, Estrellón. Indoor lighting is never the best, but it's what we had available to us. Don't we look like we are headed to prom?
Kate's jacket was purple sparkly, which unfortunately didn't show up in these pictures.
I'm wearing gold/black sparkly socks & black sequined shoes. You can see the snow falling out this window...
This is my first time wearing both this dress & velvet burnout shawl. I bought the dress 2 or 3 years ago during a big City Chic sale, I think I paid $20 for it. The shawl is from Target on sale for $11 nearly 2 years ago. The dress was lovely, but a tad big on top...but I'm used to clothing companies thinking I should have bigger boobs at my size.
My make-up with this outfit included...Voodoo eyeliner by Urban Decay; Anastasia eyeshadow in Celestial, Drama, & Summer; Make Up For Ever eyeshadow in Tangerine; UD Space Powder; Manhunter Lip Tar by Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics; Heat lipstick from UD; & OPI nail polish in Queen of West Web-erly & Orange You Fantastic!
Super cute girlies with tasty drinks & tapas.
Everything was amazing until our main course of market veggie paella, which we've had before in the spring. This combination of sweet potato, caramelized onions, winter squash, chai spice, cranberry, pear, candied pecans, & Thai chili-vanilla vinaigrette...was...odd at first, but it grew on both of us...but what made it disappointing was the best part of paella, the socarrat...the crusty crispy bottom of the rice in the pan that we normally fight to scrap every last bit of, was burnt. And that was very sad. But the meal was delicious & delightful...I'm still dreaming of those scallops with King David apple & my cocktail, Winter in Reykjavik...made with Reyka vodka, Brovo orange curaçao, cranberry, house-made ginger beer, & lime.
After dinner, David came to fetch us (Kate asked him if he would drive because she didn't want to risk her life with me driving in the miserable weather)...& she gave me this adorable block covered in photos of us! David & I went on to Angie & Toby's house, but ended up not staying long because David didn't feel well. Look at that precious Freddy face!
The next day...everything was so pretty...& the dogs enjoyed frolicking in the snow. January 1st is David & my anniversary...we had bought a special bottle of champagne & he made scallop ceviche with greens, sweet potatoes, & lobster tail. He also bought me some sweet thoughtful gifts & we spent a wonderful day together. I stayed in my pajamas all day, which was perfect. Happy New Year!

Artichokes, Asparagus, & Pòke

Dress: Textural Dots Twirl Dress by Nic + Zoe (size 3x) via GB Resellers

Leggings: Torrid (size 4x)
Socks: Sock Dreams
Shoes: Tahari, thrifted
Earring: etXarte
Necklace: Wendy Baker
Bracelets: Vintage

I first plucked this dress out of my closet because I needed something sleeveless to wear to the second installment of my farmers' market tattoo. I don't love this dress...but I always end up having fun styling it...my challenge to myself was to wear it differently than I had in the past. I last wore this dress in spring of 2016.
It was raining out the second time I wore this outfit, so we popped into the library for photos.
I've been collecting metal bookends so I can make some art for our rec room inspired by this piece...mine will be more colorful.
My make-up with this outfit included...Urban Decay eyeliner in Roach, Too Faced eyeshadow in Holla For A Dolla & Gold Dipped, Pineapple & Lemonade eyeshadow from Violet Voss, NYX lip palette in The Reds, & Danke Shiny Red nail polish by OPI.
Tattoo time with magical Maggie! She added asparagus & artichokes to my arm...stunning!
David & I spent the day running fun errands...peeking into Retro Revolution & Deconstruction Inc...we brought home 2 door handles (the ones with the twisted handle on the left) from Decon, then had Indian buffet...I *think*...I mean, I didn't take any photos of it so how do I know if it actually happened?! But I *do* remember I had sparkling wine & Pòke with the girlie at her place...& we listened to records.

Bubbles

Dress: Cold Shoulder Animal Print Dress by Vicky Tiel (size 3x) via Gwynnie Bee Shop
Tights: We Love Colors in Rubine (or Maroon)
Shoes: Adrienne Vittadini, thrifted
Earring: etXarte
Necklaces: All 3, Vintage Miriam Haskell
Bracelet: Vintage
Photography: Super Boo, Kate, & Me
Stats: 5'7" 55-50-64
I'm so pleased I pulled this out of my closet to wear...I bought this from the GB Shop (or GB resellers) ages ago, but haven't worn it until now...the last time I wore this dress (rented from GB) was in the winter of 2014...that was like last year, right? 5 years ago!? Crazy. While I'm not a fan of shift dresses...I love a sexy cold shoulder. And this animal print is too fabulous for words.
I didn't even remember there was a cut-out in back...this is my official cougar dress.
Look...shoulders! Not arms...most cold shoulder garments are actually cold arms...which is also fetching, but misleading.
My make-up with this outfit included...Urban Decay eyeliner in Alkaline; UD eyeshadow in Bang Bang, Turn On, Drunk Dial, & Young Love; UD Space Powder; NYX Liquid Suede lipstick in Cherry Skies; & Black Metal Dahlia nail polish by Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics.
I whipped this outfit together to wear to an all bubbles tasting at Square Wine right before the end of the year. I like bubbles!
All the cute couples being cute (this is what I say to Kate when I'm taking her picture...cute, cute, cute).
 Cute.
 Cute.
I wore this dress again a week ago to get photos (it was already dark by the time we went to wine tasting) & out to dinner at Sal's with my sweetie.
