The Sessions at McPike Park // Elkhorn Antique Flea

Dress: Jungle Print Belted Knit Dress by Modcloth (size 4x) via Gwynnie Bee
Teggings: Re/Dress
Sandals: Array, thrifted
Earring & Necklace: Wendy Baker
Bracelets: Vintage
Photography: Super Boo, Kate, Jason, & Me
Stats: 5'7" 55-50-64
Lemurs, tree frogs, & tropical birds...oh, my! This adorably printed dress from Modcloth was a whimsical wear, but the fabric was so cheap...it faded & pilled before my eyes. The fit was good...but I wouldn't even buy this for a nightgown because it's going to fall apart after a few washings. Too bad.
Usually these yellow teggings are brighter than any yellow I pair it with...but this time, it was a perfect match.
I know I use this ivy covered wall a lot...but it just makes all the colors pop against it.
My make-up with this outfit included...Urban Decay eyeliner in Junkie; Kat von D eyeshadow in Fran, Legend, Destroyer, & Löve; Sugarpill Cosmetics eyeshadow in Buttercupcake; Big Bang lipstick by UD; Stila lipstick in Aria; & Aim to Misbehave nail polish from Essie.
I first wore this dress to attend The Sessions at McPike Park with Kate & Jason...where we heard Panchromatic Steel, The Iguanas, & Lyrics Born. Kate bought some clothes...I got 2 hats...this purple hat should have been hers, but she thought it was too small for her head. Jason ate some African food...then the girlie licked the container...it's just what she does.
Kate decided to wear one of her new tunics...she masterfully changed clothes right at our table, with a little help from Jason.
Pretty girlie in a pretty dress eating Jamaican food.
 Girlies!
The charming couple dancing & being darling...
 Just before sunset...
The next morning...Kate & I bought all the fruits & veggies at market...such a pretty display.

And the following day...David & I got up hours before the sun to drive to Elkhorn flea to hunt treasures.
That lovely blue container came home with me & now lives in our bathroom holding cotton rounds that I use to take off my make-up. And the cherub lamp is here on my office desk, & the avocado green chair is in our kitchen.
Los Tres Hermanos for lunch! This was the first time all year we were around long enough for it to be open...we've been fading out around 10...but this time we wandered for a few hours longer. We found so many fabulous finds...including the Brady Bunch kitchen chairs below, wooden crates, costume jewelry, a chandelier, a metal lamp shade, candle holders, & some sexy Vargas art for the wreck room. Only one more Elkhorn left in this season.

Change How You See, Not How You Look

Dress: Cherry Print Polka Dot Green Fit & Flare Dress by Eva Rose (size 4x) via Gwynnie Bee
Teggings: Re/Dress
Shoes: Torrid
Earring & Necklace: Wendy Baker
Bracelets: Vintage
Photography: Super Boo & Me
Stats: 5'7" 55-50-64
This dress is adorable, just not on me...because it was super tight compared to other Eva Rose dresses I've worn in the same size. I pretty much couldn't wait to take it off & send it back. If it hadn't run small, I would have been smitten.
It was still fun to style...with these polka dot & floral shoes that Torrid gifted me & vintage polka dot bracelets.
There need to be more green dresses...why are there so few green dresses?
My make-up with this outfit included...NYX eyeliner in Green Shimmer, Sugarpill Cosmetics eyeshadow in Love+, Urban Decay eyeshadow in Bang Bang, Kat von D eyeshadow in Misfit, Russian Red lipstick by MAC, & You Make Me Vroom nail polish from OPI.
I wore this dress to go out to dinner at Samba with David...they have an amazing salad bar & bring you meat right to your table non-stop. This bumper sticker was on a car in the parking lot. I wish everyone could see the beauty in themselves...but, I know it's not easy. I wore this dress again the next day for a short time at work, farmers' market, & lunch with my Boo.
My monthly BoxyCharm & $5 fresh flowers from Wednesday market.
I also picked up glasses...but not these glasses. Then I took this dress off & spent a lovely evening with Angie, Freddie, & the vicious doggies.

The Legendary Shack Shakers

Dress: Wild Tropics Justine Sleeveless Faux Wrap Dress by Leota (size 4L) via Gwynnie Bee
Teggings: Re/Dress
Sandals: Born, thrifted
Earring & Necklace: Wendy Baker
Bracelet: Vintage
Photography: Super Boo & Me
Stats: 5'7" 55-50-64
This dress was a complete party bus...navy blue leopard print with multicolored leaves & flowers. I adored it & would buy it from the Gwynnie Bee Shop. The fit was great, but I had to pin the neckline as it was scandalous. As you can see, it was rather long...so I'd skip the teggings in the future.
Why would an introvert dress so loudly? I'm not sure...but it makes me happy.
Jungle love...
My make-up with this outfit included...Urban Decay eyeliner in Junkie, Candles & Roseburst eyeshadow from Lime Crime, Buttercupcake eyeshadow by Sugarpill Cosmetics, Flamingo eyeshadow by Violet Voss, UD lipstick in 714 & Big Bang, & OPI nail polish in Live. Love. Carnaval.
I first wore this dress to see The Legendary Shack Shakers at The Shitty Barn. Wood Chickens opened...but they were not for me.
JD Wilkes...a bit more subdued than usual...but then at the very end he punched a light out & came back for an encore with a towel wrapped around his bloody hand.
Our newly painted garage door...I'm in love. Sunflowers from the farmers' market...& the beautiful ceiling at Weary Traveler, where David & I had Bob's Bad Breath Burgers for lunch.
On another day...we had lunch at Bar Taco between clients...this is the look David gives me when I want to take photos before we eat.
Dinner with Angie & Freddie...

Adriel Denae // Elle Winston

Dress: Fox Print Fit & Flare Dress from Eva Rose (size 4x) via Gwynnie Bee
Teggings: Re/Dress
Sandals: Born
Earring & Necklace: Wendy Baker
Bracelets: Vintage
Photography: Super Boo, Kate, & Me
Stats: 5'7" 55-50-64
Foxy adorable foxes. Foxes are Kate's thing, not mine...but how could I pass up wearing this cute fox dress...even if it was white? Another fabulous frock from Eva Rose in a cool summer cotton. Spot on perfect in every way.
The sun was just about to set here...I love how it gives me such a warm glow...
This is my first time wearing these olive teggings from Re/Dress...they are more of a cool grey green & not the warm green I was hoping for...I need to dye some myself.
My make-up with this outfit included...Urban Decay eyeliner in Junkie; UD eyeshadow in Blaze, Baja, Ignite, Big Sky, & Stranded; Heat lipstick from UD; Mimosa lipstick by Bite Beauty; & OPI nail polish in Magnífico México.
I wore this outfit to see Adriel Denae at The Shitty Barn with Kate. I have buckets of anxiety, so I always get to the barn 45 minutes before doors open because I like/need to sit in the front row. However, the girlie can't leave work early...so we get there ~30 minutes later than when I go myself. I freak out every time...look how many chairs are ahead of us! Poor Kate.
Girlie taco time! Which is not nearly as fun alone...so even though I have a melt down about when we arrive...I'd rather be with Kate.
Years ago...when I first saw Cory Chisel (Adriel's baby daddy), the opening act here, Elle Winston, was in the audience...& her family pushed her forward when Cory was looking for someone to sing with him. She had such a great voice that we all thought she'd been planted. They went on to become friends & here she is again. Adriel played most of the night with her dad...& then Cory did a few songs with her at the end. That was my favorite part.
The next day...I doubt I wore this dress at all, but look! Our mostly finished ceiling! Then...Freddie & Angie time...I made us salmon with a citrus sauce.
A boy & his dog, David & baby, & raspberries for dessert...

Liz Cooper & the Stampede // Hugh Masterson

Dress: Chocolate Chip Confetti Dot Mindy Dress by Leota (size 4L) via Gwynnie Bee
Sandals: Naturalizer, thrifted
Earring: etXarte
Necklace: Wendy Baker
Bracelet: Vintage
Photography: Super Boo & Me
Stats: 5'7" 55-50-64
I loved the idea of a brown & white polka dot dress, however, I was disappointed by the grayish shade of brown...it had looked warmer online. Cute dress though...the fit was great with the exception of the spacious armholes. There was a tie at the back of the neck that is just barely visible in the photo below.
A rare sighting of my bare legs...I have quite a bit of scarring & discoloration left from last years vasculitis, plus some new leg thing currently...so, my legs are a mess & best kept covered up, yet...I just couldn't see dark brown teggings working with this outfit.
I resisted throwing some color at this dress & stuck with neutrals all the way...besides red lips & nails.
My make-up with this outfit included...Urban Decay eyeliner in Roach; UD eyeshadow in Hot Spot, Caution, Young Love, & Drunk Dial; Santa Sangre lipstick by Kat von D; & O'Hare & Nails Look Great nail polish from OPI.
I first wore this outfit to work, to see a vascular doctor, & to eat delicious Indian buffet for lunch...all with Super Boo. Furthermore...it was a good mail day...a pomegranate dress from Eloquii & some new LuLaRoe leggings bought from eBay.
Seeing the vascular doc was a complete waste of time...I had had an ultrasound a few days before & there was a tiny blockage in my vein, so she suggested I come in twice a week to have my leg bandaged & to take a sponge bath in-between so as not to get it wet...what?! It started falling off within the first few hours of having it wrapped. Nicer things that happened that day...raspberries & sunflowers from farmers' market...& another pair of leggings.
David working hard to make my dream a reality...putting up vintage tin on our living room/dining room ceiling...it's SO pretty. Sephora Play! box...& the cutest little blue velvet dog fainting couch seen at Home Goods.
On another day, I wore this outfit to The Shitty Barn to see bands & eat tacos...
