Wasted in Germany

Dress: Black & Purple Floral Surplice Dress by Chetta B (size 24) via Gwynnie Bee (use my link to get your first month free & help me earn GB credit)
Cardigan: ?, thrifted
Tights: We Love Colors in Amethyst
Shoes: Gap, thrifted
Earring: etXarte
Bracelet: Vintage
Photography: Super Boo, Kate, & Me
Stats: 5'7" 55-50-64
So many scrumptious shades of purple in this dress...I had to keep reminding myself that I don't need any more dresses. Great length & fit...the ruched waist was a nice touch. I did have to pin the neckline closed so my bra didn't hang out...but otherwise, lovely.
All the purple...
Goal for 2019: Get more purple jewelry.
My make-up with this outfit included...Urban Decay eyeliner in Voodoo; Anastasia eyeshadow in Dreamer, Rose Gold, Celestial, & Drama; Luxe Lip Tar by Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics; & OPI nail polish in Peace & Love & OPI.
I first wore this dress to go to our wine group, Wasted...the theme was Germany (& Switzerland).
 Fun with Fondue...
Some things that came in the mail...I happened to look on the Kat von D site...& her Fetish palette was 1/2 off! I couldn't pass that up. Also, David got a bunch of new underwear...& this adorable fat guy on the packaging made me laugh. I am not an Ugg person...but David sweetly bought me these in hopes I would be able to put them on comfortably because they are so fuzzy...but there was no way I could get my foot in there without painful friction against my still sensitive sores from the vasculitis I've been dealing with for the last six months. So I was an Ugg owner for a day.
Farmer John's Smoked Gouda pizza from Sal's is our favorite...so we brought a few over to Angie's to hang with her & the baby. And dogs. Val's nose poking out of the pooch cooch.

Shop Small Saturday

Dress: Dolce Vita Dress in Etched Dot by Effie's Heart (size 4x) via Gwynnie Bee Try Then Buy
Cardigan: Avenue (size 26/28), thrifted
Leggings: Eat Your Makeup leggings by Beth Ditto
Shoes: Franco Sarto
Necklace: Wendy Baker
Bracelets: Vintage
Photography: Super Boo, Kate, & Me
Stats: 5'7" 55-50-64
No GB at home gives me a chance to dress out of my own closet. I adore Effie's Heart dresses, but typically only wear them in the summer. I last wore this dress in summer 2017...but cold weatherized it here with a cardigan & leggings. Green & purple just go so well together & I was quite pleased with this outfit.
I wish Beth Ditto would revive her clothing line...these leggings are extremely soft, with a thick waist band, & a great fit.
I enjoyed the reoccurring dot/round theme...earring, necklace, bracelet, dress, & leggings.
My make-up with this outfit included...Urban Decay eyeliner in Voodoo; Lime Crime eyeshadow in Frosting, RSVP, Grass, Lime Crime, & Twonicorn; NYX lip palette in The Purples; UD lipstick in Big Bang; & I'm in the Moon for Love nail polish from OPI.
I first wore this outfit to close on our old house...so exciting to finally have that done! I didn't take any photos at closing...because that might have been weird...but I hope the cute hipster couple that bought it enjoys many happy years there. Even though they have a cat. Afterwards, David & I had Indian buffet for lunch.

Some things that came in the mail...Sephora Play! box, 20% off at Sephora...I decided to try this Drunk Elephant moisturizer...because even though it was $60, that is still way cheaper than my favorite Caudalie lotion at $140. My verdict? I really love it...it has zero scent & feels great on...& no flaking dry skin. I also got a facial brush for in the shower. And...this lady was selling a bunch of vintage jewelry on eBay...& it was SO cheap...I was the only bidder on these 3 items.
I also wore this outfit to do a massive wine tasting at Square with Kate the weekend following Thanksgiving. Many delightful wines were tasted.
 Girlie selfie...
I bought a bottle of the first red listed...to drink with salmon. After tasting all the wine...I convinced Kate to go to Deconstruction Inc with me for secret Santa stuff for Super Boo. Also, look at all our happy patterns together...

Thanksgiving

Dress: Floral Scuba Crepe Fit & Flare by London Times (size 24) via Gwynnie Bee (use my link to get your first month free & help me earn GB credit)
Tights: We Love Colors in Maroon
Shoes: Dansko, gift from David
Earring: etXarte
Necklace: Wendy Baker
Bracelet: Vintage
Photography: Super Boo, Kate, & Me
Stats: 5'7" 55-50-64
This dress from London Times was soooo pretty with the various shades of burgundy, green, & gold. I adore the big pattern on top with the same smaller pattern on the bottom, but I wish they hadn't placed an asymmetrical line right across the stomach, because that was weird...& the only thing I didn't like about this dress. The 24 fit me just right, because this brand runs big...which works out well for me as this is the largest size they make.
Note...weird line.
I nearly didn't buy this Urban Decay Naked Cherry palette...but I'm so pleased I did because I use it a lot.
My make-up with this outfit included...Urban Decay eyeliner in Love Drug; UD eyeshadow in Young Love, Ambitious, Turn On, & Bang Bang; New York Apple lipstick by MAC; & Colors by Llarowe nail polish in Show Me the Love!
I wore this outfit to Thanksgiving at Angie & Toby's house. David flew to California last minute to help his parents clean up after the fire (they had just gotten the all clear to go home), so I cooked the bird myself. That didn't go so well. I'd never made any kind of poultry in this oven & it was my first time using the oven probe...& I set the oven to convection & put the probe in the wrong place & brought a raw bird to the feast. Angie fixed it. Also, look how nice Jason is...the vegetarian carried the turkey into the house for me.
All Freddy, all the time...so adorable!
There were also dogs...& delicious food...& friends...& wine...
 And friends...& food...& dogs...& tasty wine...& Freddy!
I wore this dress again a week later so we could get pictures...& visit with Angie & Freddy. Look how much bigger he got in just a week!

Eliza Rickman & Greg Allison

Dress: Swing Dress in Geometric Print by Alice & You (size 28) via Gwynnie Bee Try Then Buy
Cardigan: Liz Claiborne (size 3x), thrifted
Leggings: Torrid (size 4x)
Shoes: Naturalizer, thrifted
Earring: etXarte
Necklace: Wendy Baker
Bracelets: Vintage
Photography: Super Boo
Stat: 5'7" 55-50-64
No GB at home...so I pulled this out of my closet...forgetting that I *just* wore this dress 4 months ago...& before that, over 2.5 years ago. I adore swing dresses & am so pleased I bought several when they were in style a few years ago...I still see them for sale occasionally. I suppose I took the swing out of the dress by buttoning a cardigan on top.
The photos of me in this dress from 4 months ago were taken at the end of June...just a few weeks before getting vasculitis. I was on prednisone for an extended period & it seems to have relocated fat to my face permanently. According to everything I've looked up online...that's not a thing, but...
I liked the prints on the leggings & dress together so much...I didn't want to spoil it by adding another print in the cardigan...so solid red pulls it all together.
My make-up with this outfit included...Oxblood eyeliner by NYX, Too Faced eyeshadow in Spiked Eggnog & Warm & Toasty, Sugarpill eyeshadow in Love+, Perfect Red lipstick by NYX, & OPI nail polish in Tell Me About It Stud.
I first wore this outfit to work...after which David & I were going to go to the symphony (final rehearsal before the real deal)...but his parent's house was in danger from the Camp Fire & his dad was missing (no cell service, he was safe in the end)...so we decided having pizza at Sal's was a better option so he could take any phone calls he got from his mom to update him.

I also wore this dress to the farmers' market & to get a temporary handicap parking placard because the sores on my legs are still extremely painful & it often hurts to walk. And look what my girlie got me!!! An assortment of products with CBD oil for me to sample.
I often mark myself interested in events on Facebook that I might like to go to...& then they get erased from my memory. Eliza Rickman was someone I really didn't want to miss...but I had forgotten about it until a few hours before it began. Luckily, the girlie was up for a last minute adventure at Old Sugar Distillery...with tasty drinks.
This complete stranger, Doug, hires a band to play at his birthday party every year (it came up as an event on Facebook that I only saw because I have Eliza friended)...luckily, Eliza's guy is from Madison...so they were in town for Thanksgiving...what a treat. Kate & I saw her open several years ago for Rasputina in Milwaukee & I backed her video on Kickstarter. It was a completely lovely evening & I'm so glad my girlie & I got to share it.

The Brandyland Adventure

Dress: Floral Mesh Embroidery Black Fit & Flare Dress by Eva Rose (size 4x) via Gwynnie Bee Try Then Buy
Cardigan: Lane Bryant, thrifted
Tights: We Love Colors in Rust
Shoes: Me Too, thrifted
All Jewelry: Vintage
Photography: Super Boo, Kate, & Me
Stats: 5'7" 55-50-64
I fell in love with this fabulous floral frock...& immediately bought it despite the embroidery occasionally coming undone. I only wear dresses a handful of times anyway & this lovely dress can be worn in all seasons...& won't it be a pretty garden party dress in the summer? These Eva Rose dresses that GB started carrying this year are a great fit on me & super cute. This is the 3rd one I've purchased. I have not found Eva Rose available in extended plus sizes outside of GB. This dress is perfection.
I wore this dress over a month ago, but was only recently able to get pictures of it...so this post is out of order. Typically, we do pictures on the day I wear an outfit...but winter is trickier since it gets dark here around 4pm.
I'm liking my hair more now that it's grown out a bit.
I don't know how I survived without this orange bracelet...I adore it...& this is the first time I've worn the matching earring.
My make-up with this outfit included...Urban Decay eyeliner in Stash; Relic, Exodus, Revelation, & Immaculate eyeshadow from Kat von D; Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Lip Tar in Manhunter; & OPI nail polish in Deutsch You Want Me Baby?
I wore this frock on voting day & to have cocktails with Kate at Merchant. We were trying out their fall menu, The Brandyland Adventure. But first, we got a free drink for having 'I Voted' stickers.
Contemplating what drinks to try...as usual, their concoctions were delightful & we played the game the drinks were printed on.

Yummy food, tasty drinks, magnificent company...makes for a splendid evening. I love spending time with my girlie.
We weren't quite up for three drinks on this night...so we split a drink for round 3...with red licorice straws. Or was it round 4 we split...because there was a free drink to start...oh, bother. Also, as long as we are admitting memory loss...neither Kate nor I remember what she's demonstrating in that photo. Wearing a headlamp to walk at night??? After driving Kate home...I drove to Angie's where David had been visiting & snuggled baby Freddy briefly.
