I thought this dress was a bit boring...but I fixed that...4 patterns mixed together always cheers things right up. I wish these non-cotton Eva Rose dresses had a more consistent fit. This polyester/spandex number was a great fit, but often their dresses in this fabric are too tight on me. My only complaint is that the facing at the neckline kept peeking out.
This ivy covered wall was spectacular...it only looked like this for a few weeks...but those various leaves & colors...the finest of autumn. I'm doing my best to blend right in with it.
I couldn't find any of my burgundy eyeliners...so I used a lipliner...
My make-up with this outfit included...Laura Mercier lipliner (used as eyeliner) in Red Chocolate, Urban Decay Naked Cherry palette, Dubonnet Amplified lipstick from MAC, & Lost on Lombard nail polish by OPI.
We came back from the lovely temperatures of the south...to snow. Home sweet home. And some fun things in the mail...Sephora Play! box, 4 pairs of leggings from Torrid, a City Chic maxi, & orange Docs!
 Halloween Freddie...the cutest gnome.
David & I decided we were ready for another dog. Losing Olive was particularly difficult for me...so probably not surprising that of the top 3 dogs we picked, 2 of them had similar coloring to Olive. David, Rye, & I piled into the car & drove to two different shelters in Illinois to meet little pitty girls. The first, Jessica, was an incredibly sweet mama dog. She's been at that shelter for a year. We weren't able to get her & Rye together though because the shelter worker we were working with was too nervous. We told her Rye doesn't do well meeting other dogs on leash, but she insisted that was the only way...so it didn't go well. After that we felt defeated. But following a spot of lunch, we drove on to the next shelter...where we met Nova. The staff there was amazing & despite a gaggle of girl scouts running around everywhere...we were able to get Rye alone with this pretty girl. They played so well together...& we were pleased to see she totally owned him & was unafraid of his exuberant energy. She could have been the dog for us...but we were still waiting to meet our first choice, Opal. Spoiler alert: I was happy to learn...while looking up these links...that after 10 months of waiting...Nova was adopted!
We came home from a long day of traveling to meet dogs, to Opal being delivered right to our door. She was everything we hoped she would be. We had fallen for her before we even met. She & Rye played wonderfully together & it was a match. Ma, Paws, & Me Rescue had gotten this mama dog from Alabama, where she'd been found abandoned with three puppies. She is the cuddliest dog we've ever known.
Angie came over the next day to meet her & took these cute photos...where you can see what I *really* wear most of the time...dresses covered in paint.
Rye & his new sister, Violet. Welcome to your forever home, Violet!
