I wore this colorful fun outfit to get my car jumped, have lunch at Little Goat Diner, & drive back to Madison with the girlie. I am in LOVE with this bright floral dress! The fit, the split sleeves, the fabric...it is amazing! It's an instant mood lifter & I felt adorable all day. I wish I could own this dress, but at $300, even 1/2 price on GB is a bit much. If it weren't for the beige flowers (beige flowers?! Why???), I would ask for this for my birthday. I will certainly closet this beauty again to wear in the summer. Also, Teggings! These not only provided an extra needed layer for this frigid Chicago day, but color! I chose green so my legs would be like the stems of a flower. I love teggings, but for some reason...don't wear them very often. They come in many alluring colors & are great to wear under dresses like this that are verging on indecency.
Kate is wearing a great black/red print dress from Karen Kane via GB. It looked cute on her...perhaps because she is cute.
After checking out of our hotel, we had lunch at Little Goat Diner. The last time we were in Chicago we had dinner at Girl & The Goat. Both restaurants are owned by Stephanie Izard (Top Chef season 4 winner) & are delicious. Since we hadn't had breakfast yet, I got a crab rangoon omelet which was delectable...I only wish there had been more filling. Kate got a Parathas Burrito, which was an avocado/bean salad & eggs atop an Indian flatbread with sheep's milk cheddar, chili pepper sauce, & greens.
We had to wait a while for a table, so we snapped photos of each other outside to distract us from our hunger. The rust & vines were a fantastic background for photos.
I look so happy! I love this picture of me *smile*. Kate & I had a lovely girlie getaway in Chicago...thank you girlie!! And chocolate.
