The Pines

Camisole: Lane Bryant

Stats: 5'7" 55-50-64
I wore this wrap dress to work, get a haircut, & to see a concert. The pattern & colors in this dress were marvelous!! However, it was not a great fit & I needed to wear the camisole under it because it gapped too much to pin. This dress was lined & extremely heavy, it tended to slip around & often ended up skewed, like in these photos...which did not help with the bathrobe effect...also, Lucie Lu typically runs a size small & I would say even to size up two in this style.
2 dresses came in the mail! The first is this Taylor Dresses dress I had from GB, bought new on Ideel (if you use my link, I get credit) for $40!! The other is a Kiyonna wrap dress that I found on a FB selling group, new with tags, also a great deal.
Kate was supposed to go to The Shitty Barn with me to see The Pines, but she cancelled because of rain (I think she's just afraid of my driving)...so Angie went with me. It was raining when we got there so I set up our chairs, while Angie got us yummy food...which I forgot to take photos of as we ate it inside. The most delicious bit came during break when we each got an oatmeal cream pie...oatmeal cookie sandwiches stuffed with burnt caramel buttercream frosting *yummmmmmm*.
Both singers have amazing voices, but the one closer to me especially.
Above is my favorite song of theirs, Cry Cry Crow, which they sadly did not perform at this show, but have at all of the other shows I've been to.
My make-up this day included...Stila Purple Tang eyeliner, Vanity & Alchemy eyeshadows from Urban Decay, Cruella lipstick by Nars, & Dutch You Just Love OPI polish on my nails.
