I wore these two outfits for the weekend 2 weeks ago. They were both the same style top from Igigi in different patterns. I was madly in love with that deco top the first time I saw it, but it came to me dingy, so I wasn't able to buy it. However, the next day when the scarlet glow showed up...it was not only dingy, but pilled & shrunken (notice the fit difference between the 2). It was very disappointing, but they were fine for running errands on the weekend. This style of top is fabulous, I really liked the fit of the deco (not shrunken) version.
On Friday, I hit up a garage sale in the morning & acquired this plant stand & lovely floral purse (I'm ignoring the fact that it's Vera Bradley).
Then, later in the day, Super Boo & I went to a handful of garage sales together (& I went to 2 on Saturday). The rest of my weekend garage sale haul included...2 pairs of shoes, many vintage scarves, a large stock pot (for dyeing things), fabric remnants, 2 vintage yellow bowls, a cherub bowl, padded hangers, & a Greek Gods plate.
Super Boo suggested we park & walk to several sales on the same street...I love looking at how people decorate their yards...this simple moss around the tree really caught my eye. I love moss. After garage sale-ing...Indian buffet! The gorgeous cherry tomatoes are from market on Saturday, the missing spot is the box Kate picked.
Sunday Super Boo & I ate outside at Alchemy. I used to volunteer across the street & whenever someone ran over there to get lunch...I'd have to have their amazing sweet potato fries. This was the first time I'd brought S. Boo there & he was blown away by their delicious food. He had a burger (we shared sweet potato fries) & I had a BBQ pulled pork sandwich. YUM!
After lunch we ran some errands, then...because it was National Ice Cream Day (& I had a buy 1, get 1 free coupon)...decadent ice cream creations!
Look at these fabulous Pyrex bowls Angie got me!!! Her & Toby had been on a trip out east & visited Corning Glass Museum.
The brass findings are from Brimfield. I will have to incorporate them into pretty necklaces...the 2 lily pad looking leaves are my favorites. I am full of envy over their road trip, but we got to watch Sadie dog the week they were gone.
My make-up over the weekend included...
I wore similar, but not nearly as much, make-up with this outfit.
