Kate & I got this tea dress at the same time, so of course we had to get photos taken together. When this frock showed up in the GB preview I was smitten...I wrote in immediately to ask this be given priority over everything else in my closet...I *had* to have it. Then it came...& hung around my house for weeks with no occasion to wear it. Kate & I couldn't seem to find the time for a photo shoot. And honestly? I'm not sure why I was so obsessed with this dress. Don't get me wrong...it's fabulous...I adore Cherry Velvet...but...as much as I love whimsical prints, this was a bit too Holly Hobby for me. The pattern was marvelous...but I think what put it over the top for me, as in too much, were all the pink roses. Had it been purple pansies & violets *swoon*. It was great fun to wear, but once was enough for me. Cardigan: Avenue

I bought these heels at a garage sale for $2. I could barely walk in them, but how adorable are they??
It was a windy day at Olbrich Gardens.
Notice that Kate & I are wearing the same shoes...unplanned.
Hi, there...I notice we're wearing the same dress.
Kate had the perfect necklace for this outfit.
This bracelet was my paternal grandmother's...I've had it since I was 18. I was wearing it during a walk along the beach back when I was 20 & I flung my hand out to point at something...& into Lake Superior it flew. My wonderful friend Shane looked & looked for it...digging in the sand with his dress pants rolled up over his knees until it seemed pointless. A few hours later as we were walking back past the spot it disappeared...Shane dove his hands into the water & came out grasping my bracelet triumphantly! I'm not sure which of us was more excited. After that I had a safety chain attached to the bracelet. I think of this story & the look of happiness on Shane's face each time I wear it.
