I wore this dress to the birthday dinner Super Boo had for me. I would not have worn this dress out of my house to an event. It was incredibly short on me due to the cute tulip hem & constant riding up when I walked. However, it was perfect to wear at home with friends who weren't scandalized when I sat down & my panties peeked out. The deep sapphire blue under black lace was stunning & the fit of this frock was quite va-va-voom sexy. Kate & I did our usual Saturday Farmers' Market stroll around the Capitol. So many pretty colors, sights, & sounds. We were captivated by the lovely sweet voice of a girl playing guitar on a street corner with a drummer. She reminded us of CocoRosie. It turns out her band is called, Oh, My Love! & they were playing at a venue the following night.
Tightrope walkers on the lawn didn't last long before the police asked them to stop.
Kate wore a fabulous maxi dress from NY Collection via GB that she had to purchase. I mean, look at it! I don't remember what I wore, but it obviously was not photo worthy.
Girlies hanging out on the wrong side of the tracks. Kate is wearing a Kiyonna top from GB & a necklace I made her.
Matching black lace girlies.
I can't stop posting photos of me & the girlie.
Yum! Dinner. Kate provided many bottles of sparkling wine to accompany our meal. We started off with a delicious champagne to go with the shrimp cocktail Super Boo presented on these adorable granite pieces that I found at ReStore. The second course was King Crab Legs & one of the reasons for living...melted butter. Then Super Boo served this wonderful palate cleanser of strawberries & mango with balsamic vinegar. So good.
Whole Snapper. A month later & I'm still thinking about how scrumptious this was. So moist & flavorful. Served with asparagus & (Raymond) Beurre Blanc. S. Boo outdid himself on this course. It was delightfully decadent. It felt like it was made with pure love.
Our final course was homemade fettuccine with a preserved lemon cream sauce made by Angie, served with Batch baguette. I thought I was too full to eat another morsel, but this pasta was sooooo dreamy & delicious...my mouth is watering thinking about it. Olive says, I will help you eat that. It's not a birthday without Kate cake. Chocolate Orange Carrot Cake.
Thank you Super Boo for suggesting & putting together such a lovely birthday dinner party. I loved it. *kiss*
I have to say, I know you didn't want to wear that out of the house, but its one of my favorite looks on you yet! I would have wanted to wear it everywhere. I'm also super glad kate bought the maxi dress, it looks fab on her.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Nannette! I should have made a video of what the dress did when I walked *smile*.
