While this dress was on its way to me...the price plummeted to $3...I bought it, because...$3. It was in great shape & I adored the mustard color with black stars, but it is lined in white...& that popped out along the neckline. Other than that...it was a great fit & being sleeveless, this could be worn year round.
Let's talk about my leg...it's wrapped in an Unna Boot here (several layers of bandage/gauze that slightly compresses my leg to help it heal better). Over a month ago, I got an infection & that entire time...I've been on prednisone & antibiotics. The antibiotic was the wrong one. Also, no one ever told me keeping it bandaged at all times was essential to healing. The only reason I'm getting properly treated now is because Angie spoke up against what we had been doing (coconut oil & Saran Wrap at night so my sores did not stick to my clothing)...& got her friend Kate involved...she's a nurse & a wound care specialist. Kate got in her car & drove over to Angie's after dinner last Thursday & dressed my wounds. She had other suggestions as well...such as, get it cultured. I was seeing my doctor the next day, so with all of this fresh in my mind (& Angie helpfully sending me an after visit summary)...I let my doctor know what I wanted. It turns out they have an RN at my clinic who is a wound care specialist & he is seeing me three times a week to put this Unna Boot on me. And...I'm on the proper antibiotic now...so, hopefully...healing can finally begin. I LOVE my doctor...she takes time with me & listens...however, it shouldn't have taken a friend to intervene & do her job for her. This is so frustrating. I'm not really sure what to do about it.
Because of my leg issues (& same leg knee issues)...I don't do anything fun & fancy anymore. I'm just not up to it. But...APT tickets & WI Film Fest tickets go on sale within a week...& I am optimistic that I will be able to enjoy these events...all things crossed.
My make-up with this outfit included...Urban Decay eyeliner in Perversion, Melt Cosmetics eyeshadow in 2012 & Poppin' Bottles, MAC lipstick in New York Apple & Korean Candy, & Gimme a Lido Kiss nail polish from OPI.
Some new necklaces from Etsy...still shopping for pretties to ease my pain.
A drawing of our living room curtains, along with the fabric we chose...I changed my mind though, because I can't get over thinking that the brocade fabric is winter & the lighter more colorful fabric is spring...& I wouldn't wear those two things together.

Thursday with Angie & Freddie...this is the night nurse Kate came over & changed my life. Also, Angie made the most amazing ginger meatballs for dinner.
I don't know why Freddie is so cute...especially when he's eating. Thursday dinner & me feeding him mac & cheese with peas off the big spoon the next night while we were babysitting.
More Fred sitting photos & David stocking up at Costco in case we end up sick & quarantined.
